#25 Drastic Changes

When Winston is about to reach Busi’s flat, Chloe feels as though she did not have enough time to talk with Busi in the office, and still she can not talk freely with her while Winston is in their presence. She then pulls out her cellphone from her bag and starts texting Busi who is just sitting right next to her curve,

‘How I wish Winston was not driving us, we would be spending a night together at my house.’

Busi immediately texts her back also. ‘Hmm…I can just imagine what you would be doing to me.’

‘Do not worry, we will arrange for it and we will have to make it one of the memorable nights.’ reassures Chloe

Unfortunately, by the time Busi types back the response, already Winston had arrived at her gate’s flat. Chloe squeezes Busi hand tightly before Busi could get off and they say their goodbyes. Chloe could not help but shed some tear soon after Busi had climbed off but she quickly wiped off her eyes so that Winston does not get to see her.

Busi, rushed to the bed as soon as she got home , so that she could finish her telephonic chat she had with Chloe earlier when they were inside the car. She immediately changes into her pyjamas, switches off the side bed lamp and starts chatting with Chloe. Luckily, Pride is fast asleep, so there is no one to take up her time except for Chloe.

Chloe, also on her side, she could not wait to get home and give her full attention to Busi's text messages. They chat until it was dawn, closer to their normal waking up time for when they have to go to work.

Winston, as usual firstly fetches Chloe, then goes pass the salon for Chloe’s make-up then lastly fetches Busi outside her flat’s gate. Busi, is also as punctual as both Winston and Chloe, there is not a day Winston had to wait for her, he always finds her at the gate, waiting for them.

Busi’s phone rings immediately after her and Chloe stepped inside the office. “Hi ma’am, you are speaking to Greg from Lint’s properties. “We received a call that you would like for us to come help you move your stuff to another place.” Says Greg, the caller

Busi removes the phone away from her ear for a moment and gazes at both Sandra and Chloe as if they have also been listening to Greg over the phone and it is their turn to also give him feedback. “What is wrong Busi, who do you have there on the line?” asked Chloe Before Busi could respond, the phone was already on Chloe’s ear, responding on Busi’s behalf.

For a moment, Sandra got pissed by Chloe’s uncalled behaviour. She could not understand why Busi could let her have so much power over her, to a point that she invades her privacy like that. Sandra gazes at Busi, hoping she will somehow see a disgusted expression on her face, instead Busi looks lost, hoping Chloe comes to her rescue and responds to Greg.

“Oh hi, yeah you called the right person. Please hold the line for me for a moment.” Chloe covers the phone’s speaker with one hand so that the Greg does not hear what she is whispering to Busi. “The bakkie to collect your stuff from your flat is ready, but I am not sure how we going to do it because also the driving school guy is coming to give you today’s lesson.” whispers Chloe into Busi's ear.

Busi, still confused as to what to say. She just opens her eyes widely, shrugging her shoulders as a way of signaling to Chloe to go ahead with whatever answer she feels it is best for her.

Sandra, was eavesdropping at their conversation but kept her head bent over the desk, pretending to be working on her laptop. She irritably murmurs silently to herself after Busi’s reply to Chloe. “Just listen to this moron South African model, she now cannot make decisions on her own without relying on Chloe.”

Sandra’s face suddenly turns red as she says these words to herself.

Chloe then returns back to Greg. "Thank you for holding the line for me. You can come collect the stuff towards the end of the day. We will send you directions." She hangs up and shouts for Sandra who is not sitting far from where she and Busi are seated. "Please ring the driving school and tell them to bring the driver for Busi’s lessons as in now, also prepare their pay cheque and hands it to the driver as soon as he arrives."

Sandra quickly reaches for her bag and asks to be excused. She rushes to the bathroom, locks herself inside the toilet cubicle, pulls out Chloe’s diary book from her bag and starts jotting down everything that has just happened, starting with how Chloe grabbed the phone away from Busi’s ear and how fine Busi was with the whole thing. She then wrote everything that happened afterwards, exactly like how it happened, and she closed the diary and put it back inside her bag and went back inside the office.

By the time she comes back, she finds the driver and Busi long gone for the lesson.

Sandra, now that it is only her and Chloe left inside the office, she proposes a dinner with Chloe after work just like how they used to before Busi came into the picture. Chloe, regrettably turns her down claiming that she can not let Busi alone with the strangers to help her move her possessions to the new apartment.

"I hear what you are saying Chloe but are you aware that moving stuff won't take you the entire night? besides, it is not like you will also be helping out, you will just be starring and delegating." insists Sandra

"Come on Chloe, we need to unwind. It has been a while since we went out, just me and you." adds Sandra

"Ohk, ok, I will let you know once I am settled then we can go." Chloe responds hesitantly.

"Please do not keep...."

Busi and the driving school guy walked back in, and Sandra had to cut her sentence short because Chloe just quickly jumped out from her desk and rushed to Busi at the door, subconsciously leaving her conversation with Sandra unfinished.

"How did you find today's lesson Miss USA? asked Chloe, unable to hide the excitement on her face

"With the pace that she is moving in, by next week she will be holding her driver's license." replied the driving school guy

"Sandra, please give the guy his pay cheque." orders Chloe

Sandra gives him the pay cheque as per the instructions and takes her bag, ready to leave. She is still agitated by Chloe walking away from her to run to Busi, whilst they were in the middle of a serious conversation earlieron. Also, this thing of Chloe always putting Busi first in everything, is really getting into her and she feels like she now needs to act. She also does not understand if she is still Chloe's personal assistant or Busi's personal assistant.

"Sandra, we have not concluded on the time of our dinner." shouts Chloe, trying to run after Sandra, unfortunately Sandra had already disappeared into the parking lot. Busi, upon noticing that Chloe was actually trying to talk to Sandra but could not, she quickly steps outside and offers to run after her but Chloe grabs her by the hand and stops her.

"Just leave her, maybe she is rushing for her husband at the parking lot." Chloe says, seeming unbothered by Sandra's odd behavior

Chloe also packs her stuff and orders Busi to do the same while they wait on Winston.

"Or wait, before we leave. Please send Greg, they guy from Lint's properties your flat's directions so they can send the truck over." instructs Chloe

Busi does as Chloe says. After few minutes, Winston came, picked them up and dropped them off at the Busi's flat. Lint's bakkie arrived at the same time as Winston's car.

The delivery guys from Lint's properties, together with Greg, climb off the truck and get inside Busi's flat and start to pack all the items Busi is showing them to pack. She does not have much stuff though because her new apartment is fully furnished with built-in cupboards, stove, etc.

Chloe, like how Sandra envisioned, she is just standing there folding arms like the boss she is, delegating. Poor Pride, she is also standing next to her with folded arms, watching Busi with the bleeding heart as she also sorts some of her belongings so that they can be put at the back of the truck.

"You do not have to worry, you guys will be visiting each other more often." says Chloe, patting Pride's shoulder.

The guys finally finish packing the stuff inside the truck and drive to Busi's new apartment. Winston drives Busi and Chloe after them. The guys then put everything inside in order, then they left. Chloe, even if she wished to stay longer with Busi at her new place, unfortunately she could not because she does not want to keep Winston waiting.

"I am glad you are now settled and staying in your new apartment. Please enjoy your first night and do not fear anything, the security is tight." says Chloe, greeting goodbyes to Busi and then she climbs inside the car and Winston drives her off.

Inside Sandra's house..............

Sandra, from the time she walked in from the office, she has not done anything, let alone to prepare supper, the only thing she has been on is Chloe's diary, updating it. She now seems to be more obsessed about it more than anything else, especially after the misunderstanding they had with Chloe earlier on and everything that has been happening between Chloe and Busi. Heaven is also picking up that lately his wife spends more time writing but he is not aware of what it is exactly that she writes about.

"Babe, have you enrolled for a writing course or what?" asks Heaven as he puts a plate of the food on to the couch where Sandra is sitting, busy writing.

Sandra hastily closes the diary as soon as Heaven gets closer and starts eating her food.

"It is work stuff honey, there is a project we currently working on and I cannot finish everything in the office." she responds as she digs in her food.

Heaven seems to believe her by the way. He feeds the little Heaven and then goes to bed. Sandra also followed them to the bedroom only after she felt satisfied with what she was writing on the diary.
