#9 Face To Face With Busi

Chloe, whilst still invested in her brief silent prayer, there walks Busi through the door, head held up high as if already walking on the Miss USA stage. She is still wearing her angelic smile which left the judges speechless the first day of the interview. Chloe, sitting at the desk facing the door like a judge waiting to give a verdict to a convict, couldn't know what to do with herself the minute she recognizes that smile which swept her on her feet at first sight, all she could feel are her feet freezing, heart beating fast and butterflies inside her stomach. She immediately stands up and extends her arm for a handshake even before Busi could come closer to her.

"Chloe, what the hell are you doing? You are her senior, you should have kept your butt still on that chair and waited for her to come to you, not the other way around." Chloe is thinking to herself, also feeling a bit embarrassed and disappointed for what she has just done. Unfortunately she can not undo what has happened as Busi has amicably responded to the handshake. "You may sit." She points Busi a chair across from her desk, also keeping a straight face, trying to conceal her despondency which is mixed with excitement.

"Thank you for coming at such short notice Busi." She glances at Busi and hands her a five-page contract to sign. Their fingertips accidentally touch as Busi takes the contract from her hand which left Chloe feeling a twin flame magnetic pull.

Busi, oblivious of the touching of their fingertips, she takes the contract, puts it on the desk in front of her and starts perusing the pages before signing. Just when she was about to finish with the fifth page, ready to sign, Chloe clears her throat to gain Busi’s undivided attention and starts murmuring to herself in silence. "Look her in the eyes Chloe, look her in the eyes."

She tilts her chair towards the desk and indeed bores into Busi's eyes and starts having a one-on-one conversation with her.

"I know you might be sitting there wondering why you are being called into our offices so late. Well, as the CEO and the founder of the CMA, I have decided to draft this contract for my top 30 finalists who are none American citizens due to some misunderstandings we have had over the past years. It is so unfortunate that you are the only foreign contestant this year hence you are the only one being called in.” She pauses a bit and gives out a smirk. "Please go ahead and sign. Do not hesitate to ask if there is anything you do not understand.”

Just as Busi is facing down signing the contract, Chloe could not help but drool over Busi's long artificial eyelashes looking as though they are about to sweep the contract's pages away. Meanwhile her eyes are still glued onto Busi's face, admiring the beauty, her attention swiftly shifted to Busi's smooth, soft and manicured hand holding a pen.

"Thank you Miss Chloe, everything in here is as clear as the sky." Says Busi as she stands up and hands the signed contract back to Chloe and shifts her eyes towards the door, ready to leave.

"Oh, I can drop you off at your place if you don't mind." Chloe quickly grabs her car keys from her desk and leads the way, not allowing Busi any platform to decline the offer.

Inside the car driving to Busi's apartment, Chloe earnestly asks Busi to keep checking the rearview mirrors on her behalf while she is driving. Busi, stunned by the request, she just decides to conceal her astonishment by nodding her head and succumbs to the plea. Busi's phone suddenly rings few minutes after the car drove off, leaving Chloe with no choice but to look at the mirrors herself. To her suprise, she drove the entire 30 minutes while also glancing on the rearview mirrors without seeing any of Busi's reflection. That's how much time Busi spent on the call.

"Shuu!" Chloe could not help but heaved a loud sigh of relief. She does not believe that she was able to look at the mirrors for that long without Busi's face being the only thing she sees in the mirror.

They finally reach Busi's apartment. Busi opens her passenger's seat and jumps off without wasting time. "Thank you for a ride, really appreciate it." Says Busi as she climbs off and heads to her flat. She still thanks the call she received earlier on inside the car which she believes saved her from the awkwardness she had to endure the entire trip to her apartment without knowing what to converse with Chloe.

Just when Chloe is about to turn the key in the ignition to drive off, Busi remembers that she forgot her signed contract on the passenger seat inside Chloe's car and quickly runs back to the car. Chloe rolls down her driver's window and hands the contract to her outside the window. This time around she intentionally holds on to Busi's hand receiving the contract for a little longer. Busi, feeling a little bit uncomfortable, hastily lets loose of her hand from her, giving out a wry smile and runs back inside the flat to Pride.

She peeps outside the window from her bedroom with Pride to watch Chloe's car disappear into the corner.

Pride is a black American hard core butch lesbian who is of Busi's age group and she shares a one room flat with Busi in the same area where CMA building is. It so coincided that the two ladies are homosexual and became very good close roommates after finding out that they both fall under the rainbow nation. The only difference is that with Busi, Pride was not going to be able to tell of her sexuality had she(Busi) never uttered any word to her, whereas with Pride, one does not even have to ask. Her tatooed and masculine body says it all, complemented by her forever bald head, behavior and manly walk.

Soon after they witnessed Chloe's car pulling off, Busi ordered Pride to sit down on the bed so she could tell her everything that happened from the time she walked into the office all the way to be given a lift.

"Hmmm, this will definitely need a glass of wine. Wait a minute, I am coming back just now." Says Pride, standing up to rush to the fridge.
