The day is on a Tuesday, the date is the 25th of September. This is the date which has been declared a public holiday for all New York elderly people aged between 60 and 65 by the President two years ago. To some citizens though, the day has not yet registered as a holiday in their minds because they would find themselves waking up to work on the day and only get reminded by the huge padlocks at their workplaces' doors or at the gates that today is indeed the holiday.
