Ryker wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me into his bare chest. I rested my head above his heart, using his alluring scent and steady heartbeat to easy my anger.
“I don’t think she needs training. I think maybe she needs to train you,” Kenji says to Val.
Val scoffs at his statement, “Who do you think taught her all she knows?”
“You literally only trained her once,” Leo pointed out.
“Yes, and clearly I’m a great teacher,” Val defended.
Ryker’s chest shook with light laughter, “Sorry Valencia, I think it’s more the student than the teacher. After all, she is a gifted wolf. She’s able to pick things up faster than any of us have ever. It’d be interesting to see her spar with all the ranked wolves.”
