“It’s refreshing to have some good news for once,” Ryker says as we walk out of the pack house, hand in hand. Ryker wanted to do a walk-through of the town and ensure everyone that was meant to leave made it out without any issues. He also wanted to make sure everything was in place around the perimeter, probably for the one-hundredth time. Naturally, he didn’t want to be away from me, so I’m tagging along.
“Everyone’s been so focused on Aziz coming and helping me adjust to my new life and my new role as Luna, that we haven’t really been able to sit back and appreciate the little things. Other than the Luna Ceremony, we really haven’t had much to look forward to,” I respond.
