The night atmosphere on Gapa Island is calming, similar to that of Hoshi Village. From the sounds of nocturnal animals to the crashing waves. But it's quieter here, so it sometimes feels eerie, even though nothing is happening.
Jay turned his head to the right. There was a tissue box separating him from Hazel. She curled up asleep in the corner.
"Whew! Under these circumstances, she can sleep so well," Jay said in surprise.
Even before she fell asleep, she grumbled that she didn't want to sleep next to him. While in traditional homes, they still use floor mattresses. Hazel pulled one of the mattresses into a corner and bordered it with a tissue box. She was also willing to forgo a blanket. She was also reluctant to ask for more because she didn't want to argue with the innkeeper's granny.
As Jay tilted his body, he felt disturbed by something. Then his hand reached for an object from his pants pocket. That bead bracelet was still there. Jay looked at it while guessing. Jay looked at it while wondering.
"H and S. What exactly are those initials? Hazel and...?" Jay raised one eyebrow. "Wow! I bet she has another guy." He looked at Hazel back at him. "She can't be this hateful if there's no other guy."
"But I need to calm down. I have to tame her first," Jay continued, not wanting to take any action.
But Jay felt pity when he saw the woman cowering. It looked like she was cold. Jay then broke through the barrier and lay down by her side while stretching out a blanket for them together.
"What a pretentious ass!" Jay scolded.
Jay positioned himself lying on his side behind Hazel. He, who had been struggling to sleep, suddenly began to fall asleep in the quiet night.
Unconsciously, Hazel shifted position. She tilted her body to the left. They were facing each other in a tight embrace, but over time, Hazel tingled. She felt warm. Her movements became more restricted. Then she opened her eyes.
"Huh?!" she was shocked when her husband's stunningly handsome face was in front of her.
She wanted to move away, but Jay's hand restrained her. He hugged her waist. As much as Hazel wanted to run away, he grabbed her even tighter.
"Where are you going?" Jay whispered in a hoarse voice. Her eyes slowly opened.
"W-Why are you here? I told you not to cross the line!"
"Why not? I'm your husband."
"Don't talk like that!" Hazel emphasized while Jay pressed his body closer.
He rested his head on his right hand, allowing him to see the innocent and radiant face of his still lying frantic wife. His left hand began to touch Hazel's cheek gently.
"You don't want a child from me?"
"Are you crazy? We're getting a divorce!"
Jay chuckled. "We haven't even expressed that love since we got married."
Hazel's body shook. "We got married just for the sake of it back then. I guess there's no need to get carried away."
Before Hazel could dodge due to the locked movement, the back of her neck was pulled by Jay. Her lips immediately silenced her husband's mouth.
Hazel got her heart pumping again. She rebelled, but Jay could still handle it. He continued to crush her sweet lips.
Hazel's lips hurt when she forces herself to pull away from Jay. The man's breathing was ragged. Hazel dodged the kiss, so Jay's lips ended up on her neck. She could see Jay grinning and enjoying himself.
Hazel screamed as she held herself back from getting carried away. "I'll kill you!"
"If you keep rebelling, they'll think it's part of the scream of pleasure," Jay whispered in seductive tones, as if making an offer.
Hazel froze, staring at her husband as she cursed.
"In that case, you'll just have to follow my pace."
Hazel continued to shy away as she vowed not to come into contact with him even if she did. She kept rebelling, but Jay kept locking his wife's lips in a kiss. Jay wanted to conquer her.
Jay broke the kiss for a moment, then shifted position. He pinned Hazel, who was already weak. Pressing their noses together, he whispered, "You can't hate me like that, Hazel. After all, I'm your husband. No other man should touch you but me."
Hazel could only avoid her husband's irritating gaze while correcting her breathing.
"Get lost!" Hazel hissed.
"You're already drugged. Don't you want more?" Jay's whisper tickled Hazel's ear.
"What exactly do you want, Jay?" Hazel gave him a stern look.
"I want you!"
Hazel had gathered all her strength and pushed Jay into the closet. Hazel moved away to the other end of the room. She convinced herself that she couldn't do that even if she wanted to.
"Argh!" Jay whimpered. "Hey! I'm not even a masher! I'm your husband, Hazel!"
Hazel frantically shook her head as she fixed the pajamas that Granny had lent her earlier. As Jay pounced on her, the shirt dropped slightly. "I can't do that. I can't do it!"
"Why?" Jay approached. "Did your mistress ask?" He locked his wife up again. "Who's that S?"
Hazel frowned. She had no idea where Jay was going with this.
Then Jay touched Hazel's cheek again, giving it a gentle stroke. "I want to be by your side, Hazel. I'm having a hard time. Can't you keep me company?"
"You think you're the only one having trouble? Why are you the only one asking to be understood?"
"Thus, I apologize. I want to fix things. But I ask nothing more than for you to stay by my side, Hazel. I don't want to cause my wife any trouble anyway."
Hazel looked up, staring at the pile of hope in Jay's gaze. Gradually her eyes filled with clear crystals. It was enough to make Hazel's heartache. She could see the sadness there.
"I know my actions were unfair. I know you hate me. But can we enjoy our moment together even if it's just for a little while?" Jay pleaded in a trembling tone. "This is the height of my difficulty, Hazel. No one will ever know. Can't you just hug me?"
