TALIA ( The Beginning of Something Extraordinary)
It took a week to get everything prepared for the antidote. The kingdom was in complete turnover as well. The rumors of a union among the top ten kingdoms stirred up conflict as well as allies from the smaller kingdoms wanting to merge with us as well. The seven, along with a few friends, stepped in to stand in as ambassadors to visit each kingdom throughout the realms with conflicts to further discuss in detail the purpose and goals of this much-needed union.
Selene had indeed kept a powerful secret from Silas and me. Silas and Gill had fallen in love, but so had Selene and Ben. It was right in front of us the whole time, yet neither of us had guessed it. Ben had held himself up alone in his lab inside for days on end for years and this was why.
He even took some time out to tutor Snow growing up. He had always been there. Snow was the niece of the Six of The Seven special guard, which explains her fairy blood. It explained the immunity she had to Christine’s poison. Gill, Danny, David, Hank, Seth, Sloane, and I made sure Ben and Snow got some bonding time before the week's end.
When it was time to synthesize our blood. Snow broke down in tears. Her biological father had been by her side all along. He had never left her. The day Selene and Ben came to tell me about their relationship was during Silas' king training. This is how they discovered what the Queen, my stepmother Christine, had been doing to me.
After that terrible night, mysterious attacks on the Seven, Selene, and Silas began. Ben had wanted to introduce Selene to his family in the fairy kingdom but, on the night of it, they were attacked by the Night Wolves. Ben was heavily injured but, he made sure Selene escaped unharmed through the use of the Old Wisdom Tree.
At that time, no one had known about Selene’s pregnancy nor that she had been poisoned. Silas then took her under his protection by marrying her. Due to the wolf bite, Ben fell into a coma. His brothers took him to the Fairy Kingdom where Marcia, his mother, took care of him for 3 months. Since time runs differently in each realm, 3 months was a year past when Snow had already been born and Selene was pronounced dead.
When he joined the Seven again, Sloane caught him up in everything he missed and he hid in the background as his uncle, while Silas continued being his Dad.
Ben had no regrets because all of us were good friends. Now was even a better gift because Gill, Ben, and I no longer had to hide.
It took another week for the antidote to be ready for use and three days later for Silas and Selene to awaken. The reunion between the lovers, Snow and her parents, was a tear-jerker for me. Everyone stopped and stared at me in shock because no one had ever seen me cry. My heart was full of love for my family and friends and my soul mate Snow.
The kingdom was in joyous spirits. As a surprise to Gill and Silas, I announced our marriage annulment. My wedding gift to them was the passing of the same-s*x marriage law throughout the kingdoms. Selene and I caught up on all that was missed. She wasn’t even surprised at her daughter and me being together, despite the age difference.
Ben and Selene would be returning to her kingdom to rule after their official marriage. They had already signed on for the union with no doubt, as for my kingdom, I chose the same. Snow said I would honor my mother this way since the Dark Woods was a part of my mother’s kingdom.
Everything would have to be remodeled and redecorated before our return. I wanted no memories of my past or present. In time, I will bring the First Kingdom back to life as well, to honor my grandparents, Hannah, and Daxon, and my parents, Delia and Nathaniel.
Snow and I spent several days locked away in our own wedded bliss. Our kingdom will be fully remodeled in a month's time. We had set the balance right for all Christine had done and, in return, Mother Earth had bestowed a blessing upon Snow and me. Just on the edge of the outskirts, a special flower began to bloom. Its tiger lily color of red, gold, and black was powerful and vibrant.
A month later, after our return to our kingdom, we received a shocking gift. I was indeed pregnant. It sounded impossible but, I knew my family bloodline was ancient, mysterious, and powerful. Hannah left behind books from our ancestors that told of this happening before with a same-s*x couple.
Mother earth will bestow a gift to rare mates who are pure and true in love. My first child had been created in hate and pain, but this one was created by Snow and I by pure love for each other.
Snow had become a complete dominant over this time and me a complete sub, but I loved it. Now, with our child in my belly, she will become even more so. We ruled as equals and in sync with one another as we cleaned the many messes left over by Christine. We firmly implemented new laws and a better way for our people.
The first union meeting between the joined kingdoms was held at the end of the year. Our ambassadors, Walden, Danny, David, Hank, Seth, Sloane, Candy, Sage, Grace, Robyn, and Marianne would be receiving their missions with locations in the remaining kingdoms that needed more convincing. Each of their plans was fully detailed with instructions should they succeed or fail.
I could feel some interesting stories would be surfacing with this lot, especially with my godbrothers in the mix. Snow agreed with me, saying something was in the air. My mother's last spell released something we had yet to witness. Each of these kingdoms was in a different realm, so the use of the Old Wisdom tree to travel would be needed.
How long it would take them would count on their own abilities, but I would anticipate the outcome. As the union set forth its first goal, the present united kingdoms continued to hold strong. Who knows what the future may hold? For now, we are at peace, and Snow, Selene, Ben, Gill, Silas, and I will continue to live our lives and reign in happiness.
