Chapter 20

1140 Words
Jade walked into the house and went straight to her room. She locked the door behind her but jumped in fright when she turned and spotted Xavier sitting on the edge of her bed, a glass of alcohol in his left hand. “Did you have fun?” he asked as he slowly stood up. “Um… yeah.” She stayed pressed against the door. That was when she noticed how scattered her room looked. Is he drunk? “Anything happened that I should know?” he asked. Jade swallowed. She didn’t need anyone to tell her—he already knew. Of course he did. She reached for the door to flee, but Xavier was faster. He grabbed her and threw her to the floor. “Why are you running?” He looked down at her as he slowly knelt beside her. When she met his eyes, she saw something different—something unfamiliar. He wasn’t drunk. He was fully in control, but he looked like a possessed demon. “Xavier…” “Shut the f**k up!” He grabbed her chin painfully. “You kissed him, didn’t you?” “No… n-no.” She shook her head repeatedly. “How dare you lie to me? You kissed him, didn’t you?” He grabbed her throat. She tried to pry his hand off, but she couldn’t. “I-I… it was a mistake!” she managed to say. Xavier suddenly stood up. “Did you like it?” Jade slowly stood too, stepping back from him. “Don’t you dare lie to me. Did you like it?” he demanded again. “Yes, I did!” she breathed out. “And it was good!” Xavier took a step forward, but she stepped back. “What did you say?” he asked coldly. Then he struck her across the face. The slap sent her crashing to the floor, the sound ringing in her ears long after. Blood dripped from the corner of her mouth. She tasted it as she blinked, disoriented. Jade held her cheek in shock as she looked up at him. Yes, her cheek stung—but his eyes hurt more. There was disgust in them. “Say that again,” he said, towering over her. Fear settled deep in her stomach. She started crawling backward, losing a shoe in the process. “Please,” she whispered when he followed her. “You disgusting slut!” He grabbed her hair and yanked her up. “How dare you kiss another man!” “I’m sorry!” she cried in fear. “I’ll kill him,” Xavier said flatly. Jade froze. Aaron had done nothing wrong. She couldn’t let him die because of her mistake. “No. Xavier, please, I beg you! It’s all my fault!” Tears streamed down her face. “Please spare him.” “You’re begging for him?” His voice rose as he threw her down again. “Is that how much you enjoyed his lips?” Jade tried to crawl away, but he grabbed her leg and dragged her back. “He didn’t do anything wrong. Please, leave him alone. Punish me,” she said as he gripped her throat again. Was he really going to kill her? “Shut the f**k up! I will definitely kill him!” he repeated. He pulled her toward the bed. “You wanted to be f****d so badly, huh? You ungrateful little slut!” He pushed her onto the bed. “Take off your clothes,” he said, struggling to control his rage. “Xavier…” “Take off your clothes!” he growled. Jade obeyed immediately, her hands shaking as she fumbled with the fabric. Finally, the dress came off. Her trembling hands covered her bare chest. “Are you hiding your body from me?” He grabbed her chin. She shook her head quickly. For the first time since she met him, she wasn’t afraid of what he could do—but of him himself. “On your knees,” he ordered. She hesitated, then slowly obeyed. Tears fell freely now. She knew she couldn’t stop him. He grabbed her hair and pushed himself into her mouth. She coughed. “Suck it. Suck it, you b***h! This is what you’re good at anyways!” he said, forcing himself deeper. “You wanted a man, didn’t you?” “Get up. On the bed.” She obeyed. Jade closed her eyes tightly as he forced himself into her from behind. He pressed her head into the bed, holding her by the hair. “This is what you wanted, huh?” He slapped her. “You slut!” He didn’t stop. Xavier kept going—rough, relentless thrusts. “Please… stop,” she whispered weakly, trying to pull away. He tightened his grip. Tears rolled down her face. Then he stopped. “Turn over,” he ordered. She obeyed weakly. She couldn’t meet his eyes as he positioned her again. He continued. Her breathing turned uneven as tears slid down her cheeks. He squeezed her breasts harshly until they turned red. “Please…” she whispered again. “I’m sore.” “Shut up!” He slapped her again. “I don’t care!” Jade touched her cheek, shaking, and cried silently. He grabbed a pillow and pressed it over her face as he continued. Then he removed it abruptly. “Your breath belongs to me" He growled. “The whole of your existence is relevant because of me. Your thoughts are mine. Your heart too" Yes, she did belong to him, didn't she? “No one, absolutely no one is allowed to touch you the way I do. To kiss you the way I do. To even think about you! You're mine only!" She knew all these but hearing it from his mouth just made her realize how real they were. " Understood?” He turned her again and continued. “You’re mine. Only mine. No one touches you. No one looks at you. No one even thinks about you.” Her resistance faded. She stopped responding. She just endured it. Later, Jade lay on the bed wrapped in the sheets while Xavier sat beside her, a cigarette between his fingers. Just when she thought things couldn’t get worse, they had. Not only had he forced himself on her—he had hit her. Twice. She never wanted to see that side of him again. Jade got down from the bed, wrapped in the sheets, and went into the bathroom. Xavier glanced at the bloodstain on the bed, then toward the door she slammed shut. He exhaled smoke and dropped the cigarette into the ashtray. When Jade came out hours later, he was gone. The room had been cleaned, broken items replaced, and the bedsheets changed.
