Xavier slowly stood up from his table, his fists clenched.
"What did you just say?" He walked toward her.
Raquel stood with a hand pressed against her bleeding stomach. She had a black eye and a swollen lip.
"I'm sorry I failed you." Her head dropped in a bow.
Xavier angrily approached her and, with one swing, punched her across the face. She painfully fell to the floor.
"I trusted her with you!" he roared, his chest rising and falling heavily.
