Jade stuffed a spoonful of ice cream into her mouth with a moan and leaned back into the bed.
Lately, her cravings had been getting the best of her. She didn’t know where they were coming from, but they just kept coming, and she had consumed a great amount of calories—which should be alarming, because she was someone who always looked out for her shape.
Maria hurried into the room while Jade was stuffing her face with chocolate wafers.
“Ma’am, he just arrived,” Maria informed.
Jade quickly jumped out of bed. “If he asks, tell him I went to the garden,” she quickly instructed and ran to the bathroom.
Maria walked out.
“No, he will easily find me here,” Jade hissed and looked around the room.
Where would she hide? She couldn’t hide in his study either.
