FOURAcquaintance The off-white door, with its light brown marks and black scuffs along the bottom, slid quietly shut behind him. He stood in a narrow corridor, painted in the same discoloured drab white as the entrance door, looking up and down the length of the passageway. There were gaps along the corridor at regular intervals, where doors should have been, each presumably leading to a separate sleeping area providing minimal privacy. He was familiar with the setup, designed to keep dorm mates honest at all times. The open access policy did not faze him, especially given that he had little of note worth stealing.
