She dropped another of the spirit wolves, moments prior to Natalya’s counter-charge, praying that they had done enough for The Blades to drive a wedge into the gap. The encircling smoke moved to fill the opening, attempting to plug the widening hole, but the Louperdu were slow to reform, allowing The Blades to run right though them. The remaining wolves bounded towards their prey, pouncing on those making up the flanks. Some of the wolves were sent reeling, as cold steel slashed deep across their muzzles, whilst others snapped at the heels of the withdrawing Blades, dragging several of them down before more of their lupine kin hauled the prone warriors into the throng of the pack.
