I hurriedly got out of the Castle and began following the direction of the trail she went to yesterday.
I found the path she made when she escaped yesterday and followed it until I reached a lake that had a huge rock sticking from it like a tree stump.
My heart pounded and I could hardly breathe anymore. Something really bad must've happened to Marissa. The way her eyes pleaded with me to save her haunted my memory. The tears that formed on her face as she spoke.
