Marissa "Just sit down," he spoke softly. Why can't he just go away and let me escape from this hellhole? He already seems irritated. Is he angry at me? No, no. That wouldn't be possible… right?" I couldn't help but wonder as I looked at the food on his plate. I was starving, but I also didn't want to embarrass myself by asking for food. "It's ok," he continued calmly. "Take as long as you need." I hesitated, before I finally started taking a bite of food to fill my mouth with anything at all. I wasn't eating properly. It was probably the lack of sleep, but I couldn't find the energy to do anything but continue to force the food into my mouth until it went down. "Thank you," I managed to whisper, before I continued to consume the small pieces of meat on my plate. It was good. Very good.
