“What are you doing?” he finally said. Saanvi didn’t jump as he’d hoped, which made him even more irritated. She straightened a line. Paused. Checked another. “I just want to straighten them out again,” she said. “Do the horses need to be here?” “I need them to be.” Topher grimaced, holding his tongue. “And this has to be done now because . . .” Saanvi held up one of the lines. “They’re frayed.
