Chapter 37 pt.2

CHAPTER 37 (pt.2)  “Do you have something to say to me, your highness?” Tatiana, who couldn't take the silence anymore, asked.  Noah raised his eyebrow, amused.  “What makes you think so?” he asked back, smugly.  Tatiana frowned and almost made a face, but she was able to stop herself.   Why do I suddenly find this guy so arrogant? Is he supposed to be like this?  In the novel, Noah was described as a cold man who turned out to be a gentleman with a soft heart, especially to the heroine. He was that rational, handsome man that every woman would fall for. But, in this reality, he's nowhere close to being a gentleman. Hmm...speaking of the heroine, I haven't seen Lady Beatrice these days. Have I been so busy? And what about her relationship with His Highness? I hope there's already progress, or it would be a problem later on... Tatiana noted to herself to check on that later before deciding to put it aside for now. “Well, if there’s none then thank you for escorting me here, your highness,” Tatiana said, emphasizing every word.  Noah looked at her and placed his hand on his lips, trying to hide his smile. She’s clearly hinting for him to leave, but it only makes him want to stay more.   He’s not usually like this—No, he was never like this. Noah is known for his cold attitude towards women. But, it’s not like he doesn’t like women, he’s just indifferent towards them. Besides, he doesn’t believe in love, so he thinks it’s a waste of time to go into relationships.  However, during these past weeks, he just finds himself thinking about Tatiana and looking for her. He’s curious about her, he wanted to know what she’s thinking, and he wanted to stay by her side.  When did it start? Was it when he found out she’s Julio? Or when he found out he was the mysterious man who saved a poor boy? Or was it when she first suggested to break off their engagement?  Noah is not sure when or why he started feeling this way, but he doesn’t really mind. As long as he's with her, he's happy and satisfied. “You’re welcome,” he replied plainly, making Tatiana feel even more annoyed.  “Don’t you have something more important to do, your highness?” Tatiana gritted.  Why can’t he just leave?!  Tatiana was starting to get annoyed. The fight will start soon, but she still hasn’t talked with Kai.  “No, not really.” Noah teased again. He smirked when Tatiana was starting to lose her composure.  Noah thought she looked cute when annoyed. Should I tease her more?  But what should I do if she starts to cry?  "I feel tired, so I'll rest here for a bit." He reasoned. Tatiana almost rolled her eyed.  He has his own waiting room, why does he want to stay here? Tatiana sighed as she tried to calm herself.   I can’t hurt a prince, I can’t hurt a prince. She reminded herself.  “You're staying here, your highness?”   “Yes.”  Tatiana nodded and stood up.   “Alright. Then, I won’t be a nuisance and leave you now. Have a nice rest, your highness. Excuse me.” She curtsied and quickly walked out of the room. Once she got out, she stomped her foot in anger.  Tsk. That prince. The novel was a total lie, he’s clearly just an arrogant bastard. How annoying!  She huffed again and left. She wasted a lot of time because of Noah, so she has to hurry if she still wants to talk to Kai.  Meanwhile, Noah was left alone in the waiting room, speechless and shocked.  Did Tatiana just manage to escape?  He leaned back against the chair and laughed in disbelief. He couldn’t believe what just happened. He stayed just so he could spend more time with her, but Tatiana managed to escape him that easily.  Ah, Tatiana...you’re just making this hard for me, but I like this challenge.  He thought and smirked.  ---  reyankleyr
