Chapter 76 pt.2

CHAPTER 76 pt.2 Is His Highness still insisting on our engagement? Did he give me these flowers to show everyone that I will marry him and will give me no other choice? Tatiana mulled over. Tatiana returned her gaze to the bouquet. It was the first bouquet of flowers she had ever gotten, and it was so lovely that she wanted to keep it no matter what. However, the meaning behind these flowers is dangerous.  It could lead her down the path she's been trying to avoid since her reincarnation. And if that happens, all of her previous efforts will be for naught. I cannot let that happen. I will not fall into His Highness’ trap.  Tatiana glanced at Noah, who was now gazing out the window and appeared to be deep in thought.  “Your highness,” Tatiana called, causing Noah to turn to her and raise an eyebrow. “Can I ask you something?” “Go ahead,” Noah answered plainly. Tatiana hesitated for a while. She didn’t want to offend His Highness, but she has to make it clear anyways. “Why did you give me these flowers, your highness?” she asked. Her voice sounded firm, but she was actually nervous inside. Noah glance at the flowers she was holding, then back to Tatiana again. He raised an eyebrow. “Why do you ask?” “Well, if I’m not wrong, these flowers are only for the royal family, am I right?”  “Yes,” Noah answered simply. “Then…why did you give these to me, your highness?” Tatiana asked again. Noah smiled smugly at her. He found it amusing that Tatiana was asking such a question when the answer was already obvious. Clearly, she just wanted for him to say it. Noah decided to tease Tatiana more. “Why do you think I gave you those flowers, Anastasia?” He asked back, sounding very seductive. Tatiana almost rolled her eye.  Of course, His Highness is back on his childish self again. She thought to herself. She knows what these flowers meant. But the main issue she had was why His Highness would give her these flowers when he was well aware of Tatiana's decision to call off their engagement.  “Well, I don’t know. Isn’t that why I’m asking you, your highness?” Tatiana gritted.  Noah smirked once again.  Even though she changed a lot, she’s still short-tempered. She’s not throwing tantrums like before, but she became very sarcastic. Noah thought to himself. I don’t know which is better. “Fine, since you seem very curious, I’ll tell you,” Noah said, still smiling smugly. Tatiana raised an eyebrow, waiting for his next words.  Noah leaned forward to Tatiana, causing the latter to lean backward. He smiled at her.  “But… I’ll tell you later.” He added and sat properly again.  Tatiana was left speechless. Then, after a few seconds, she came back to her senses and regained her composure. She frowned at Noah. “Why can’t you just say it right now, your highness?” She asked again, to which Noah replied in a teasing tone, “Because I don’t want to.” Tatiana rolled her eyes and went back to looking outside the window. Tsk. I’m annoyed again. She grumbled in her mind. Is this what a date is like? It didn’t seem fun like how they described it in novels. Tatiana sighed and calmed herself. Tsk. It’s my fault for agreeing to this date in the first place. Actually, speaking of, why did I agree to this date, to begin with? And why, exactly, did His Highness ask me out on this date? --- reyankleyr
