Talrun had agreed to discuss this whole business of the Mordanians thinking he was a criminal. But he didn’t want me to come to the plant store. He said the tea shop was a better location.
Truth be told, I was willing to believe the Mordanians thought he was a criminal because he’d done something innocuous to help the resistance effort, or something like that. From what I’d observed so far, they kept a tight grip on Daqtarian activities as best they could. So they probably kept a lot of people on their watchlist simply because they were considered suspicious.
But the information the Mordanian had given me was the modern equivalent of a wanted poster. He had to have done something egregious in order to get himself on that list, right?
