Dominica blushed and he kissed her hand. “You need never be afraid of being alone in the darkness again, my lovely one.” They had so much to say to each other and so much to talk about that they had lingered long over the superlative dinner that the cook had provided for them. Now as they stepped onto the verandah it was too late to see the sunset. Dominica looked up.
