Damon POV
The journey to Alpha Ryder's estate had been a calculated move on Asher's part, normally they should have been made to come to us but this was his show of power over me and a way to give alpha Ryder a favor that wasn't actually one.
It was his way and it was brilliant apart from the fact that it pissed Keith off the whole time.
"I can't believe we have to travel up some boggy marsh to get you chained down to a useless pack" he hissed.
"You realize, that you shouldn't be saying that about my future mate and her family don't you." I asked and he scoffed.
"Look, you have to try for me you know. Your complaining makes it harder."
We arrived at pack borders and one of the patrols stopped us.
"Who are you?”
"Show some respect you i***t, you're talking to Alpha Damon.” Keith
