Chapter 81
Marcus’ pov
The phone rang three times before Maddie answered.
“Hello.”
“Maddie hey it’s Marcus can you come over. I would go over there but Jaylah is asleep, and well I really need to talk to you.”
“Um yea sure I’ll be over in a little bit.”
“Okay I’ll see you soon.”
After we hung up, I went downstairs to make a pot of coffee. This was going to be a long night. I planned on telling her exactly how I felt. I wanted a future with Maddie. I only hoped I didn’t screw everything up. I was just confused.
I didn’t want Jaylah to forget her mom. Now I know that she can still love her mom while loving Maddie at the same time. I love both women, so can she? Jaylah needed a mommy, and Maddie was perfect for that job. In a way I think this was meant to happen this way.
