Skylar’s pov
I woke up bright and early to go for a run before work. I could barely sleep knowing that only a wall separated Tia and me. It was weird how just the thought of her made my heart race.
Once I was almost done with my jog, I stopped by the donut shop to grab Tia some breakfast. This way I will have an excuse to see her. I hurried back to the house and took a quick shower.
I wanted to spend as much time with her as I can. I got this huge job that was going to take up all of my time now. I was building apartments and a safe house for one of Tia’s friend’s boss. Derek seemed like a nice guy.
