"There's an emergency!" I burst into the hospital, Aurelia carefully cradled in my arms.
Nurses rushed toward me, immediately placing her on a rolling gurney as they wheeled her away, yet her fingers stayed locked around mine.
"Dane, what happened?" Tyson hurried out, pulling on his white coat.
"She was in an elevator accident." I spoke, my breath ragged.
"I'll take care of her." He replied, directing the nurses to an empty ward room. "You can wait outside."
