The room spun, causing my vision to blur.
"What…" The words pricked my throat. "What did you say?"
"Bridget Frost is in a critical condition."
Waves of dread crashed over me, my mind racing faster than I could process, my gaze frozen on the nurse.

She didn't need to finish her statement, in the blink of an eye, I was rushing out of the room.
