The next morning, I drove to the auction house.
Crowded. The parking lot filled with expensive cars. A storm of chattering coming from inside the building.
I sighed. The last place I'd want to be.
But I'd do anything for Bridget. Just as she did all she could for me.
I walked in, my gaze falling on Jayne and Julie on the third row. I walked up to them.
"I didn't think you'd come." Jayne sneered, gesturing at an empty seat next to Julie.
