I Reject You

Katarina POV

I was just getting more confused every day, new hidden things keep popping up every day.

My parents were not my parents, fine. But then I got to know that my real parents were wolves, my real father, who was an alpha, was murdered by some other wolf I guessed, then where is my real mother?

“Are you asking me??” A voice said in my head.

“f*****g get away from me” I told it angrily.

“Well I can't, since you are me, and I am you, we will solve these riddles together. The earlier you start accepting me, the easier it would be.”

“f**k! I will need to visit a psychiatric hospital soon” I made a mental note.

“I'm going insane” I didn't hear the voice again.

I sat down on my bed in my 'special' room after taking a jolting note on the table. I jotted some things inside in, I didn't know when I slept off.

A knock woke me up the next morning, “yes?”

“Alpha Damon will like to see you in the next thirty minutes.” the person said, I conjectured he was one of the guards.

“Alright, I will be there.” I got dressed up, and a knock came on the door once more.

“Alpha will like to see you now.” the guard said.

“Sure.”

As soon as we got outside, I saw Damon relaxing in a limousine, a brand new one “wow!! This dude must be rich.” I thought.

“There he is, you should meet him.” The guard bowed a little before departing.

I went to meet Damon, He was operating a phone when I got to his side.

“Hey, good morning.” I greeted.

He raised his head “yeah” he was chewing a bubble gum noisily like a b***h, but that didn't make him less handsome.

He got away from the limo and opened the door of the back seat, “here, go in”.

“Thank you.” I gently obeyed him, He got inside too and sat in my front.

“Where are we heading?”

“Thought you said you wanted to meet Axel”

“Why are you trying to separate us??”

“It's simple, it's simply because I want you to myself ONLY” he gave a lot of emphasis on the 'only'.

I just thought of keeping quiet until we got to another part of the woods. That place seemed different from the formal place we were, as we were entering more inside, I felt right, I felt like home.

“This is our home, this is where we belong” that voice said in my head, I nodded my head to it, guess I was getting used to it.

We finally got to an opened space which looked like a field, the car parked “come on” Damon got down, and I did too right after him, we went to another part of the field and met someone seated with two empty chairs before him, when we got there, the person turned out to be Axel.

Our eyes locked when we got beside him, he was basically the most beautiful thing on earth, my breath seized, and I found myself getting overwhelmed with desire.

“Mate!” The voice in my head whispered.

I wondered why I preferred him to Damon, could it be because Damon wasn't likable.

“Snap out of it, Katarina, this is the main reason I came with you.” Damon yelled angrily, he fixed a glare on Axel.

“I'm here to ask some questions about me and I want a sincere answer, okay?” he just nodded his head.

Lie, I wanted to see him!

He provided me with solace and comfort, while Damon pushed me aside, caring less about how I felt being pushed into a world I knew nothing about.

“Where is my father??”

“Dead.”

“Who killed him??” There was silence for a while before he replied to me.

“My father, He was an alpha, he killed your father, who was also an alpha, for his mate and territory.”

How did they even know all these?

It was almost like they knew so much about me while I knew little to nothing about them.

“How is that possible, how heartless can he be?”

“That's the way of life here, that's how things are being done here.”

“Where is this Drain?”

“Dead.”

“What the hell?? Like both of you are my enemies now?” I spoke up, boiling with rage.

Axel only sighed, “We are not your enemies, wolves kill themselves for mostly territory and again, your father had an eye for my mom, so father didn't have a choice.” Axel explained.

“He did have a choice, he could've let my father go, he could've thought of me” a lone tear escaped from my eye.

“You know so little about this world of ours”

“Nobody knew of your existence, your mother died during childbirth and your father kept you well, you were only discovered when he died.”

“Then your father could have done something about it.”

“He did, he took you in, but then he got murdered, and you were kidnapped. Nobody heard from you, we all thought you were dead until I saw you and discovered you were my mate.” Axel explained with some emotions I can't fathom.

“You lied to me, you said I killed all those criminals.” I accused him.

“I only did that to confirm something.”

“Which thing??”

“To know if you can be easily deceived, and, of course you failed.” He said dramatically.

“Then why do I wake up with blood all over me??”

“I don't know, but then I feel You have some psychic powers, one and domineering uniqueness is foreseeing things, which you do see every time a murder occurs.”

“Who then killed my adopted parents??”

“I don't know.”

“Okay, something always talks in my head, what's it?” I couldn't help but ask.

“It's your wolf, she will be of help to you, you should try bounding with her, you will get used to it.”

I sat down there thinking, what should I do now that I know my father's murderer?

“Thought your father's killer is dead.” that voice said, I tried not to flinch.

“But his children are alive.”

“We can't do anything, one of them is our mate.”

“My mate, not ours!” I stated and stopped listening to her.

“Stop staring at her.” I heard Damon's loud voice.

I quickly looked up only for my eyes to be locked with Axel's, I immediately stared away, not wanting to get lost.

“What made you an enemy of each other??” I had to ask.

“It was his fault, He is a murderer, he killed her and I saw it with my own two eyes.” He told me angrily. “He is a liar too, don't trust him. Meet me in the car in the next five minutes.” I watched as he walked away.

What I noticed in Axel was that, when he gets angry or hurt, he will tell you his mind, then he will be calm after a few minutes.

“He wasn't like this, he was the sweetest thing in the world, but everything changed when he found his mate.”

“He thought I was jealous and killed her, and I was in the scene when it all happened.” He stood up and came to my side, he crouched beside me.

“But believe me I didn't, I was jealous, but I couldn't hurt him and now, he wants you, and I'm giving you to him.”

I leaped up. “What? You want to give your mate to your brother?” He nodded his head.

“What about you? What about me?” He stared away.

“You should get going, he is waiting for you.” He backed me, walking away.

I ran to meet him, hugged him from behind, I didn't know where that balls came from, but I loved it, I felt him stiffened.

“I knew this is what will happen, so I had to come back for my woman.” I heard Damon's voice, I sighed, gently disengaging from the hug, Axel gently turned back, staring at me, then I felt someone's hand tugging my arms. “Let's go home now.”

I jerked off my arm from him, “I am going nowhere with you, neither am I staying with my mate who indirectly rejected me.” I shifted to my wolf in their presence and dashed into the woods.

“You know what, I reject the both of you, stay away from me!, I'd find my way on my own”.

I felt my heart tearing into pieces, but I can't go back, I did what was good. I will just go and investigate on my adopted parents' death in the city.
