Mate Again?

Katarina POV
I fought and struggled with him to let go of my mouth, but it looked as if as I was struggling, I still wanted him close by.
“I don't understand why I was attracted to a stranger.” I thought confusingly.
He grasped my mouth tighter instead of letting go of it, “sh!!!” He muttered, I shook my head aggressively.
“Silent!!” He cushioned and gently removed his hand from my lips.
“Please, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to kill them, please forgive me.” I wanted to yell it out at him, but somehow, I only found myself whispering it to him.
“You don't have to be sorry, I know you didn't mean to kill them, in fact, I know you don't know who you are, which left a giant confusion in your heart.” I cried as I found out that he was right.
“I have good news for you anyway.” I turned back to stare at him.
“Good news?” Something muttered in my head, but I didn't put much thought into it, “Good news??” I asked.
“Yes, I know who you are, I know everything about you and I promise to tell you everything about yourself and to prove it to you.”
“Who are you and why should I trust you.”
“My name is Axel, an alpha, who is here to protect his mate and to take her back home.” I looked up at him.
“What are you trying to tell me?? And who is your mate???”
“I'm trying to say, you are my mate, and you are a werewolf, who got mixed up with the humans from your young days.”
“You're lying.”
“To gain what, I just saved your life”
“Wh….what are you trying to say?? I'm a werewolf and I murdered all those people, including my parents too?”
“Yes but your parents, I don't know.”
“I don't care about anything anymore, and I'm going nowhere with you!!” I yelled at him and turned back to walk away. He snaffled my hand.
“Hey!!” I reacted to his sudden movement.
“You have to believe me, we can escape from here together, and you will be saved.”
“Sorry, but I will rather die than to go with you.”
“Then I don't have a choice but to snitch you out.” he threatened me.
“What? Thought I'm your mate or something.” He laughed, making me blush in embarrassment.
“Well, you are, but it seems like you are rejecting me, so I'm helping myself to overcome the rejection.” I looked forward, only to discover that I had no choice, I quickly faced him back.
“What do you want from me?”
“That's not too hard to ask my dear mate.” he smirked, “All you have to do right now is to follow my lead, the only way to survive today is to shift to the wolf form.”
“No, there must be another way, I can't shift and, moreover, I'm yet to agree with you that I'm an animal!!”
He looked at me with disdain. “An animal?”
“Sorry, I meant a wolf” he looked away for a while, he sighed then faced me again.
“Are you ready?? Because we have no time to lose.” he asked, I was still contemplating in my mind if I was ready when he gently took my hands, I stared at his face.
“Look me in the eyes, Katarina.” I did, his eyes were like gray, crystal, darker than mixed with other colorful colors, I was unable to grab the actual color of his eyes, they were simply so beautiful, I almost got lost in them, but I know I did get lost for a minute.
Immediately, I looked away, cursing myself for letting whatever bond I was starting to feel get to me.
Mate or no mate, he was a stranger.
Axel POV
I stared into her eyes ball, they were the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, “This is not the time for this Axel, we still have all the time in the world to look at our mate's eyes.” Cruz, my wolf said,
I gently shook my head and I think that little action brought her back from reverie too.
“What are you doing to me?” Katarina questioned me.
“I'm trying to calm you down, so you will allow your wolf to take over.”
“I…I don't think I am ready.”
“You have no time to think” she sighed.
“Then leave, save yourself, and I will gladly surrender myself.” I widely my eyes in uttermost surprise.
“No, no, I can't leave you here, I have come too far to lose.” I held her hands tighter, I would rather not let go, I was scared he will come for her.
“Please just this once.” I was desperate.
“But…” she began tearing up, all I could see in her eyes was confusion and I wished I could wipe them all off.
“it will be painful.”
“You'd get over it, but yeah, only a little.” She nodded her head after a while.
“Okay.” She finally agreed.
“Close your eyes, take a sharp breath and let her out.” I told her.
She had her bottom lip in her mouth as her bones started breaking and reforming, her organs started reorganizing themselves and her skin started stretching.
Her lips shook, and I guessed she wanted to shout. I quickly pulled her to myself and grasped her head to my neck, preventing her from shouting it out, she only muffled out the pains and I watched her full transformation.
I gently let go of her as she became gentle. “Are you okay??” She looked at me.
“I'm not, I'm feeling weird.”
“Its okay,” I transformed to my alpha wolf too, a huge wolf.
“Let's go.” I told her in wolves language, she replied me back and together, we left the corner.
“See, it's an animal, I bet they murdered everyone.” A police man shouted from a distance, I growled angrily at him and increased the pace of running.
If it for the peace treaty we had with the humans, I would clear out the woods of these festering humans.
I made sure Katarina was beside me as we ran into the woods, the police men gave us a hard chase but never pulled a trigger on us.
I heard one said, "Don't shoot at them, we are capturing them alive.”
We increased the pacing again until I can see the border leading to my park, I growled with delight, but it was cut short by the presence of the rogues, I quickly hid Katarina behind until I saw their leader.
“Hello brother,” he said.
“Damon." He looked at Katarina.
“What are you doing with my mate, Katarina??”
“Huh?? Mate again??” I heard Katarina muttered.
