CHAPTER 13 : BRING CREATOR HOME

1300 Words
“Bring Creator home.” The words didn’t sound like a command anymore. They sounded like a promise. A promise that had already been made long before I ever woke up in that hospital bed. The entire city outside went unnaturally silent for a moment. No sirens. No gunfire. No screaming. Just rain. Heavy rain hitting broken glass. Inside the hospital room, nobody moved. Not Damian. Not Cross. Not the first Elena. Not even the creatures. Because something had shifted. Something irreversible. And I could feel it in my bones. “They’re not waiting anymore,” I whispered. Damian looked at me sharply. “What does that mean?” But I didn’t answer. Because I wasn’t sure I understood it myself. The network inside my head was different now. Calmer. Stronger. Like a storm that had finally chosen a direction instead of chaos. Thousands of minds weren’t screaming anymore. They were aligning. Moving together. Heading somewhere. Toward me. Cross slowly stepped back, his expression tight with something I had never seen on him before. Uncertainty. “This wasn’t in the final model,” he murmured. The first Elena laughed bitterly. “You mean your god complex didn’t account for failure?” Cross ignored her. His eyes stayed locked on me. “This shouldn’t be happening this fast.” A cold realization crept into my chest. “It’s not fast,” I whispered. They all turned to me. I swallowed hard. “It’s already finished.” Silence. Then Damian stepped closer. “Elena…” I looked at him. And for a second, everything inside me split in two. One part of me wanted to hold onto him. To stay human. To stay Elena. But the other part… The other part wasn’t afraid anymore. It was listening. Outside the building, something landed on the rooftop. Then another. Then dozens. Heavy impacts. Perfect synchronization. The first Elena moved toward the window slowly, fear tightening her face. “They’re here.” A shadow passed across the shattered glass. Then another. And another. The sky above Kigali was no longer empty. It was full of them. Descending. Not chaotic like before. Controlled. Organized. Like an army returning to its queen. Or its source. Damian raised his weapon instantly. “This ends here.” Cross shook his head slightly. “No,” he said quietly. “This is where it begins properly.” The first Elena turned on him sharply. “You’re enjoying this.” Cross didn’t deny it. That was the most disturbing part. Another impact shook the hospital building violently. The lights flickered once. Then died completely. Darkness swallowed everything except the faint blue glow of the creatures’ eyes. But even that glow was changing. Becoming steadier. More stable. Less human. More connected. I suddenly felt a pull in my chest. Not physical. Deeper. Like something inside me was being gently opened. Damian noticed immediately. “Elena, what is it?” I pressed a hand against my chest. “They’re closer.” “How close?” I hesitated. Then whispered the truth. “They’re already inside the building.” As if responding to my words— The elevator doors at the end of the hallway slowly opened. No alarm. No sound. Just metal sliding apart calmly. And they stepped out. One by one. Dozens of them. All identical in movement. All identical in silence. The creatures in the room immediately turned toward them. Not in fear. In recognition. Cross took a slow step backward. “This is not possible…” The new arrivals didn’t look at him. Didn’t look at Damian. Didn’t look at the first Elena. They all looked at me. And then they knelt. Every single one of them. The entire hallway filled with kneeling figures. Like worship. Like obedience. Like homecoming. My throat tightened. “What are you doing?” One of them lifted its head. And spoke clearly. “Returning to origin point.” Damian moved closer to me instantly. “This is getting worse.” I shook my head slightly. “No… it’s not just worse.” I swallowed hard. “It’s organized.” The network in my head pulsed again. But differently this time. Not pain. Not chaos. Structure. Maps formed inside my mind. Underground routes. Hidden facilities. Every Lazarus location across the city lighting up like a constellation. All connected. All active. All awakening. Cross whispered behind me. “The Prime Consciousness is coordinating them.” The first Elena turned sharply. “What is that?” Cross finally looked uneasy. “The original host intelligence.” My breath caught. “She’s not just waking them up,” I whispered. Nobody interrupted me. Because they already knew I was right. “She’s gathering them.” The kneeling creatures outside responded instantly. All at once. “Yes.” The sound echoed through the building like a single voice. Damian grabbed my arm tightly. “We are not letting her take you.” But I barely heard him anymore. Because something else was happening. The network was changing again. And this time… It wasn’t just showing me them. It was showing me her. A vast underground space appeared in my mind. Deeper than anything I had seen before. A core chamber. Alive. Breathing. And inside it— She was standing. Not asleep. Not broken. Awake. Her eyes opened slowly. And in perfect synchronization, every creature in the city stopped again. Even the ones kneeling. Even the ones falling from the sky. All of them paused. As if waiting for her first breath. Then she spoke. Not through them. Through me. “Elena.” My entire body froze. Damian felt it instantly. “Elena?” I couldn’t respond. Because I wasn’t alone in my mind anymore. She was inside the same space. Not as a memory. Not as a fragment. As something complete. Something whole. Something original. “You finally remembered me,” she whispered. Tears burned in my eyes instantly. “I didn’t want to.” A soft laugh echoed through my thoughts. “You never get what you want in Lazarus.” The first Elena stepped closer, noticing my expression. “What’s happening to her?” Cross answered quietly. “She’s making contact.” Damian tightened his grip. “With who?” But I already knew the answer. Because the voice inside me became clearer. Stronger. Closer. “You built my world,” the Prime Consciousness whispered. “And now I want it back.” The network outside the hospital suddenly reacted violently. All creatures stood up at once. Everywhere in the city. In perfect synchronization. Rain stopped falling for a moment. Like even the sky was listening. Then every voice spoke together again. Not to me this time. To her. “Creator has awakened.” And she answered. “Then bring her to me.” The entire network moved instantly. Every creature in Kigali turned in one direction. Toward the hospital. Toward me. Damian raised his weapon toward the hallway. Cross whispered one word. “Impossible…” The first Elena grabbed my arm. “We need to move now.” But I didn’t move. Because something inside me had already accepted it. The pull was too strong. The connection too deep. The city outside began to shift. Lights flickered. Systems shut down. Power grids collapsing one by one. And somewhere far below us— Deep beneath Kigali— Something massive unlocked. A final vault opening after years of silence. The Prime Consciousness spoke one last time inside my mind. “Come home, Elena.” And for the first time… I wasn’t sure which Elena she was talking to. chapter 14 coming soon..........
