Phillip felt really Guilty

Its been over fifteen minutes since Sara delivered the wine. She should be out of her mind by now. He walked through the backdoor, then the garden and straight to the pool area, the wine was poured into the glass, she must have drank it, she layed on the pool chair, it looked like she was sleeping.

"Laura.. Laura" he tapped her to wake up

"Hmmmm. What is it? My head really hurts" she sobbed

"Sorry for that. Laura where are the Property papers?"

"What papers? I don't own any property" the fuddled lady said

"Laura, I'm talking about the properties you took from me"

"I have no properties! Leave me alone" she arose forcifully, and started staggering her way into the house

"Wait Laura, you might fall into the pool" Phil rushed to her and carried her bridal style into the house. This isn't working at all. She isn't saying anything. Isn't she supposed to be telling him about the location of the papers but instead its making her not to even remember a thing.

"My head really hurts. I feel like I don't have bones." She whinned as he claimed up the stairs and took her into the room. He layed her on the bed and used the duvet to cover her properly.

He sat beside her "Laura, you made me sign my properties to you, where exactly did you keep the papers I signed"

"Can you stop this thing about papers! I have no papers. Ahhhh" she cried in pain as the headache increased.

"Sorry" Phil felt really guilty, if he had known that she was going to go through so much pain and still not tell him the whereabout of the papers, he wouldn't have done this.

"Does it hurt so much?" He asked

"Yes, it really does and I feel so dizzy" She cried in pain. What does he do now? He put her in this state! He put the quantity the pharmacist prescribed, so why is it this bad.

"Alright, try to sleep. Its gonna reduce the pain"

"I can't"

This is definitely worse than those migraines she gets, at least she gets to sleep. He quickly got the painkillers from the first aid box. It would at least reduce the pain.

"Here" he handed her the painkillers and a glass of water. She quickly took it in.

Even as she took it in, she kept on whinnying for about five minutes again and this got Phil really worried.

"It still hurts?"

"Hmmm" she cried

He has to do something real quick. The doctor. Yes Doctor. He put a call through Doctor Afam. "Hello Doc"

"Mr Phil, Goodevening." Doctor Afam asked

"Sorry for calling this late." It's Past eight pm

"No Problem. I was just about telling my wife about this very funny patient I met today. Do you know that_"

"Doc.. Doc"Phil paused the talkative Doctor. Afam was a big talkative. He talks a lot. "Doc, what do you give to a person who had an overdosed of tramadol?"

"Overdosed? That's what these young boys do nowadays. Abuse drugs. Did you take it?"

"No Doc, its my_ my friend"

Phil heard The Doctor take a deep breath "Tramadol is a synthetic analgesic opiate used for the relief of pain but nowadays these young boys now abuse it and this is very wrong"

'Offcourse I know!' Phil wanted to scream loud "Doc I'm asking for a cure when abused"

"It depends though, these young boys of nowadays, when they take it overdosed they start behaving and talking like fools. They start thinking they are higher than everybody and can do whatsoever they think. Some even believe they can push down a house. Funny right?" He chuclked. This guy don't just understand what Phil is going through now cause if he does, he wouldn't be making such jokes.

"But there are also some people, boys, girls, men and women, mostly women though, their heads can't carry such drugs when abused and when they try abusing it, it makes them really weak and breaks them down. It makes them have a very serious migraine, sometimes they become totally oblivious of their surroundings and_"

"Doc, what First aid treatment can you give to a person like that?" These second explaination fits his wife.

"Nothing much, the person should just try to have a good sleep and probably a paracetamol. By morning, the person would feel a lot better"

"But she isn't sleeping?"

"Don't worry, she's gonna sleep but who exactly did you say took the tramadol?"

"Goodnight Doc" Phil disconneted. The Doctor is just looking for another topic. By the time he was done with the call Laura had stopped sobbing and was already asleep. He changed her into her nighty.

She woke up with a light headache. Her head hurts a little. She sat up on the bed and relaxed her back on the headboard. She looked at herself and she was on her nighty. How did she get to her room. What happened to her? What happened last night. Yes that very disturbing Migraine. Last night, the last thing she remembered was taking that wine that dealt with her seriously. That wine! Something was added into that wine. Someone knocked at her door. "Come in" she said

Sara walked in with a tray of something in it.

"Goodmorning Ma" she said

"Morning, whats the time exactly?"

"Its past 11am."

What! She slept this late.

"Ma, Oga said I should give you this when you wake up?"

"Whats that?"

"A herbal tea that would help you recover quickly" Sara said

They even brought her a tea after drugging her. Wow!

"Sara what did you put in my wine last night?"

Sara was shocked "Ma? Me? I did no such thing."

"Then how did I get drugged?" Laura asked angrily

"I don't know! I swear i did no such thing." The scared Sara said

Sara has worked for them for long and she just couldn't do this.... Wait oh,

"You said Phil asked you to get Juice?"

"Yes Ma"

"And how did he know I wasn't feeling too well?"

"I don't know Ma, he only told me to give you this tea when you wake up and that was before he left for work"

Phil did this! Phil drugged her! He did this. This is crazy. She had warned him never to double cross her and he did!

"Get out!" Laura said to Sara

"Jesus! From the Job or house. I'm sorry ma"

"Stup up and get out of my room" Laura said to the annoying Chef.

"Thank you Ma" the chef said and left the room, thankfully she was not fired.

Phil was definitely going to pay for this. He was! She swore. She looked at the tea, picked it up and sipped it. She hoped he didn't add anything to this on too.

Her phone rang, her Mum "Goodmorning Mum"

"Morning, have you done it?"

"No Mum. He drugged me last night"

"What!"

Just after work that Monday evening Chuks came over to Phil's office, Chuks won the contract he's been working on and he wanted to celebrate with his friend, so he came to get his friend.

"I have to freshen up, so i'll head home first" Phil said to his friend who concurred with him and his friend drove him home. On their way home Phil told His friend about the whole previous night incident.

"You should have left her to suffer the pain. She no tell u where the paper dey, u still no allow her make she suffer, wetin u come gain" his friend had said to him when he explained everything to him.

They got into the mansion and Phil headed for his room.

"Be quick" Chuks said to his friend as he looked for the remote. He found it, then relaxed on the sofa and turned on the TV. The bold picture on the screen got him worried. It was a picture of a pretty aged woman who was blindfolded, a cloth tied to her mouth and hand and A gun was pointed to her head. You could see that she was crying, but the woman looked really familiar, very very familiar, he knows this lady, isn't she__ She is Phil's Mother! "What!" Whats this picture about. "This is Mrs Madu" he said to himself. Is this a prank or what?

He waited for his friend patiently and after twenty long minutes his came down. Looking all fresh and hot "Dude I'm done. Lets go" Phil said

"Philip who is that on the screen?" Chuks asked his friend

Phil turned to the large plasma TV and that picture got him worried too.

"Isn't that your mother?" Chuks asked his already confused friend.

"Oh yes, that's his Mother" Laura said as she walked down the stairs.

They turned to her "Laura whats the meaning of this?" Phil asked

"I don't make empty threats Philip. I warned you never to doublecross me but you did and now your mother had to pay for it" she walked to the armchair and sat down.

Both Phil and Chuks became weak to even speak. They were both speechless. Like WTF!

"I warned you but you still did it. You drugged me, why? For the property papers?"

"Laura, you had the heart to do this to a woman who is just like a mother to you! How cruel can you be?" Chuks said angrily. He was the first to come out of the shock.

"But she is not my Mother. Poor lady, she had to pay for her Son's disobedience Anyways, you're very lucky this time, I only asked my men to kidnap her, next time I won't be so lenient." She said.

"Laura, that was my_ my_mother" Phil said. Laura couldn't even read his facial expression, was he angry, scared or what.

But there was one thing, his eyes were bloodshot and that only happens when he was angry. She hoped this her mother's idea of punishment doesn't end on a bad note for her.

Phil took a few steps away from them picked up his phone and called his sister imediately. Let him just find out if his Mother is okay first.

"Sandra, how is Mum?"

"I guess Laura has told you. Some men, came here this morning and kidnppedher but after a while they brought her back. I think its a case of mistaken identity."

"Was she hurt?"

"Physically No but emotionally yes. You know she's hypertensive, so when they took her, I guess she got really scared but don't worry the Doctor has checked her and she's asleep now and again Laura spoke to her and that kind off got her less tensed" she kidnapped her and still consoled her. Wow.

"Phil, there is no need to worry, Fred and I are handling things. We have also spoken to the Police and they are doing something about it."

"Good. When she wakes up, please give me a call"

"Not an issue. Bye, don't worry yourself too much, tell that to Laura too, when she called she sounded so worried"

"Bye" Phil said and cut off. He walked back to the sitting room where Chuks and Laura were seriously agruing.

"She's fine right? At least she wasn't totured or worse killed" Laura annoyingily said

Phil walked up to her and boom!!!! He gave her a resounding slap! For the first time in his life he layed his hand on a lady. His wife for that matter.

Geez! Laura was shocked. What! She placed her palm on her cheek, her eyes were already teary.

"Calm down Man" Chuks said to his friend

"Laura, you can mess with me all you want but don't you ever come close to my family cause if you do next time, it wouldn't be a slap, its gonna be worse" he said angrily, then turned to leave, turned back to her and said "You better pray that nothing happens to her, you don't wanna know the consequences" he stormed out of the house with his friend behind him. He stormed out of the house angrily not forgetting to smash the 3.5million naira Vase that was on the center table.

A tear rolled down Laura's eyes. For the first time Phil layed a finger on her. She should have known this wasn't going to go too well with Philip. She had other plans on a way to Punish and scare him but no! Her Mum came up with this plan. And now this!
