Chapter eight.: Second date

Edward Family House.

As Lucas excitedly entered the house with a smile, he was welcomed by his sisters'gaze. He tried to ignore them,and decided to go upstairs as he walked passed them. But it was abortive, due to Maya statement.

" Lucas. You look so happy today, what's the matter? Spill out the beans. Maya said with a smile as she approached Lucas.

"I've seen this look before. it's called Love ..."Fraya couldn't finish her statement before Rosa cut in.

" Lucas.Did you go on a date, or your crush ask you out?" Rosa said as she moved closer to Lucas,with her fixed on him.

"What nonsense are you saying? Lucas said and turned his gaze to Maya. Seeing Maya's uneasy gaze, he turned his gaze to Fraya, who smile and winked at him. " Why did you smile? " Lucas said as he furrowed up his eyebrows,and kept his gaze fixed on Fraya.

"Ho! Did I?" Fraya said and looked at Rosa,who was still staring at Lucas.

"Lucas. Don't tell me you don't have a girlfriend." Rosa said as she frowned her face.

"Well. I don't." Lucas said as he furrowed up his eyebrows eyebrows and slid his hand into his pocket.

"Lucas you are back?"Maggie said as she came out from the kitchen.

"Mom. Lucas is hiding his girlfriend from us." Maya said as she moved closer to Maggie.

"Mom.Maya is just joking as usual. Lucas said with a smile and shot a fierce gaze at Maya.

"Joking or not, I want to see your girlfriend tomorrow." Maggie said and settled down beside Maya. "I want to have a grand children from all of you, before I get old. Maggie seriously stated.

"All of what? " Fraya said as she looked at Maggie.

"Of Course all of you ladies. Lucas said as he bow down his head to avoid his sisters'gaze,especially Maya, who kept her gaze fixed on him. Why are you all looking at me? Lucas said as he finally raised his head. I think, I need to go to the washroom. Lucas said and went upstairs.

Yooger Family house.

Early in the morning, Luna woke up lazily,and stretched her body as she yawn. She freshen up, and decided to go downstairs. On getting there, she saw Brenda and an old man,who was sitting beside Brenda.

"Is that the Lady you were talking about? " Yhe man said, pointing a finger at Luna and looked at her from the head to the toe.

"Yes it's her. Brenda said as she looked at Luna with a creepy smile.

"Young Lady. Come and sit here." The old man said, tapping the chair next to him.

"Good morning " Luna said with a smile as she was about to move.

The old man's smile fade,as Luna walked passed him and went straight to the kitchen. Brenda on the other hand, couldn't utter a word. Her face was filled with anger.

"Sir,please don't take it serious.She's just being childish." Brenda said and smiled as she turned her gaze back to the old man.

"You are right, because children nowadays are childish. But I don't think my son will be interested in her. I actually appreciate your advise,but I know my son more than any other person. Thank you. I will take my leave now. I bid you farewell. The man said as he stood up and prepared to leave, but Luna statement made him stopped on his track.

"Why don't you try my sister? She is very beautiful and alluring, whether your son will be interested in her. Luna said as she stepped out from the kitchen,and smiled at the old man.

"Ho! Really? Let's give it a try. The man said with a warm smile.

"Yes. I shut have said that earlier, but she is around. Maybe once she is back from school tomorrow, I will inform her first before we make any decision. Brenda said and shot Luna a fierce gaze, and Luna sneered at her as she saw Priya,came out from her room.

"Good morning Mom." Priya said as she got downstairs. On hearing this, Brenda bit her inner lip,regretting what she had just said earlier. She couldn't help, but blame Luna,because if Luna hadn't said anything about Priya or not at all, the old man would have gone to his house before Priya arrived.

"Didn't you said your....." The old man could not finish his statement before Brenda interrupted.

"This is Priya " Brenda said as she placed her hand on Priya's shoulder. "It was her elder sister we were talking about. But she is still in shool so,I don't think she would be ready for that." Brenda said and smiled at the old man,and turned her gaze back to Luna,who was about to laugh.

"Mom you've never told us that we have an elderly sister. I don't think Dad knows anything about her Could it be that, she is an illegitimate daughter or what? " Luna said and kept her gaze fixed on Brenda, who was at loss of word.

"Alright. I will take my leave now." The old man said and looked at Luna before he walked straight to where the door was. As the man was about to open the door, th sound of a knock echoed in the parlor.

"Who is there? Brenda yelled as she frowned her face with annoyance.

"It's me Lucas.Are we having a quarrel before" Lucs said from outside.

"This man again? What is he doing here? Brenda inwardly stated and frowned her face,feeling disgusted.

"Lucas?" Priya excitedly entered as she smiled and rushed to the door, pushing the old man aside. As Priya opened the door, Lucas walked passed her and greeted the old man, who was standing before him.And the old man smiled in response. "Hi Lyla." Lucas said as he approached Luna with a lovely smile.

"Humm! Hello" Luna said and her gaze coincidentally wet Priya's. Seeing Priya fury gaze, She turned her gaze back to Lucas.

"Lyla would you like to out with me? "Lucas said without glancing at Brenda, who was boiling with anger beside him. Lucas could see Brenda fierce gaze on him.So he smiled with satisfaction.Seeing that Luna was not responding, he entreated. " My mom and my Sisters would also like to see you. Would you like to see them? Lucas said as looked at Luna with a lovely smile, and Luna shyly looked away.

"You both are perfect match.Young Lady don't hesitate. The old man said with a smile.

"Why is this old man still here? Priya inwardly stated as she frowned her face with annoyance. "Sir. Didn't you said you will take your leave now? So why aren't leaving? Priya said with annoyance.

"You can only talk to your mother like that,not any other person" The old man said and left the house angrily.

"Shall we?"Lucas said as he stretched his palm to Luna, thinking she will place her hand on his palm and say, let's go babe. Luna's statement made Lucas snapped back to reality.

"I need to..." Luna couldn't finish her statement before Priya interrupted.

"Lu... Lyla. Aren't you going out with the old man son again? Priya said as she approached her.

"I never said I'm going anywhere with anybody "Luna said without even glancing at Priya.

"Huh! What about me?Lucas statement made Priya frowned her face and looked at Luna with her eyes filled with hatred.

"Lucas. Lyla is not feeling fine so, I don't think she will be able to go out with you" Priya said as she moved closer to Lucas. "Lyla am I...." Priya couldn't finish her statement before Lucas cut in.

"Shut up. If you're jealous, then go and look for a boyfriend. Lucas said with annoyance, feeling disgusted by Priya's statement. "Lyla let's go " Lucas said as he held Luna by her hand,and walked out from the house.
