Miri lay prone on the ground with the rest of the warriors and waited until the impact was over. A great stillness had fallen over them. Slowly, she got up and glanced around. Only the wagons had been overturned in the blast, and none of the warriors or witches seemed harmed. Miri breathed a sigh of relief. The powerful demon was gone and there was no sign of any Evoos’ or Snagars lurking around. Her eyes traveled over the warriors in search of her mother, Mac, and the rest of her friends. Her relief was soon replaced with worry. Miri’s heart began to race. She called for the warriors to look for any sign of them or any other missing warriors.
