Mac knew that chimpanzees had an incredible strength in their upper bodies. He stared guardedly at the two deadly knitting needles aimed for his jugular. The chimp studied Mac for a moment and lunged straight at him. Instinctively, Mac grabbed a chair off the floor and swatted his attacker in mid-air, knocking it to the ground and slamming it toward the overturned furniture. Chairs erupted in space as the chimpanzee curled up into a ball and crashed through them like a bowling ball knocking over bowling pins. Teeth bared, fangs dripping with saliva, the chimp rolled onto its feet. Its grotesquely distorted face studied Mac for a moment. The deadly needles still clenched in its fists, it lunged again.
