Ryan smiled softly at his girlfriend as she gazed lovingly at a butterfly which was gliding through the air. "Have you heard the news?" Her voice snapped him out of his daze, in seconds his face changed from admiration to seriousness. The sickness came down on the humans like a parasite, it had only been a year but millions of people had died.
