Chapter Eight

It"s a sunny day and my in-laws come unexpectedly. They are not what I expected. I thought they"d be
picky, annoying, rude, etc. On the contrary, they smile a lot. They like joking. They are simply loving. And God, my fiancé"s younger sister is great. She"s my age. Paige and I are really happy. She"s just our type
so we are really happy together. My fiancé will arrive a day before the wedding. And as custom demands, we are not supposed to see each other a night before our wedding. Everybody gets busy as we fix the
whole place. I"m trying so hard to forget Alex. He"s probably warming another woman"s bed.
*Wedding day*
"Isn"t my daughter the prettiest of all?" My mum says with a smile.
Paige and Esmeralda; Acel"s sister are also gorgeous. They are my bride"s maid and maid of honor. My
mum looks stunning and my in-laws are also brightening like the moon. Hidden but beautiful.
"I can"t believe my daughter is already a full grown woman now. She"s so innocent..."
Oh mum, if only you know!!!
"She"s so little. She"s my baby angel. I"ll miss her. She"s my joy."
"Mum you gonna ruin her make-up. Stop it, her eyes are already welled up."
"I hear Darling. Paige, you two always wish to marry from one family. Guess that is what it is...just a
wish."
"Some wishes do come true," Esmeralda said with a grin on her face.
There"s no way this wish will come true. Not after she has found Zach. To hell with our wish!!! She
deserves to be happy.
"Now let"s keep moving. Before the groom goes mad," Esmeralda said.
Mum and everyone leaves. Paige and Esmeralda looks so happy.
"Seriously, I think you"ll be happy. But this idea still makes my tummy turn. I can"t believe you still don"t
know him," Paige whispered.
"Wait, as in you don"t know my brother?" Esmeralda asked with shock in her voice.
Paige and I quickly shush her as we explain truthfully. She was so shocked.
"He told us you are his childhood sweetheart who moved to a different country, here apparently. So you
two lost contacts and when you two met weeks ago, he decided not to let you go the second time."
"Girls come down we"ll be getting late," someone screamed from downstairs.
"Let"s go, we"ll talk later."

As my uncle walks me to the alter, I see a well built man waiting for me. He has a big smile on his face. As I get closer, I realize he looks familiar. Shock and fear surrounds me. What is this? Why is this so?Alex is
Acel? What if...? I look over to Paige who looks nervously at me. We both breathe in. There"s no way I"m
letting him know I"m the one he had an affair with. What if he rejects me? Zach freezes as he sees Paige
and I. We beg him with our eyes. I will do anything if he"s willing to keep his mouth shut. He looks
uncomfortably at his twin who looks serious.
"Brethen in Christ, we are gathered here to celebrate the holy matrimony of Acel Martins and Eunice Levy who have gone through all the procedures and have decided to join their body, soul and heart as one."
The priest keeps talking and he asks if we will like to proceed. We both agree.
" Do you take Eunice Levy as you beloved wife? To love and cherish. In health and in sickness. Happiness and sadness, till death do you apart?"
He gently says," yes I do."
I"m been asked the same thing. I say yes.
Then the priest says, "you may now kiss the bride."
He raises my veil, only to find what we"ve been hiding the whole day.
