Paige looks happy today. I know something happened last night. She sings and swings her waist around
the room.
"Ok, come on. What happened? Tell me. Did you two... You know what I mean!!!"
"Yes, yes and a big yes!!! He's so sweet. And big," she replied cheerfully.
I laugh. I give the two that. At least I won't doubt they're twins when it comes to that. I still can't accept the two being twins. They look alike but not too much.
"And you? What happened last night?" Her question caught me off guard.
"He's everything I have always dreamt of. Too bad he's not the one I'm getting married to," I sadly confessed.
"Do you know their names? I don't know either," Paige enquired.
"He said it is better I don't know. He's right, at the end of the week, we'll go away like nothing like this
ever happened," I explained.
It is supposed to be like that. But my heart doesn't seem to agree with that. At least he should tell me his name. Yes, it is true we won't see each other again but at least I will cherish our moments.
*****
It is getting late and I sit dressed up, waiting for my prince charming. I see Paige also dressed up already.
"Where are you going to?" I asked Paige with a broad smile across my face.
"He's also taking me out. The four of us are having fun. It will all end by the close of the week," she says with a sad face.
"Paige, you two shouldn't settle on that. If you like each other, don't let anything...I mean don't let me be the one to stop you. I always want to see you happy," I explained. It's not right for them to break up if they both can see something special between them and hope to take it to the next level.
"Hey don't worry. Come on, I'm not sure what it is. But I don't think it is something serious. We just met
yesterday. He doesn't talk much. He smiles often," she told.
"At least yours is better. Mine...I mean he is always serious. I know him just a day but...he's the business
type. I feel sorry for his wife...i mean, the woman he's going to marry. He's bossy," What? I know him for just a day and it feels like twenty years.
"His brother too. Guess it runs in their blood," Paige joked.
We both laugh as the bell rings.
" I think they are here," we both said in unison.
We get to the door to see two gorgeous men. The thing is, they aren't the men we were waiting for.
"Who are you?" Paige asked.
"I'm Dennis and he's Ken. We are here to take you to your dates," they said without smiling. I immediately feel uncomfortable. They didn't seriously...
I raise an eye brow. What is this?
"OK, let's go then," before I can say something else, Paige was leading us.
"So who Am i going with? And who is she going with," I asked. Obviously I'm not a magician to know who is supposed to take me to my date...it was only fair for me to ask that.
"Please which one of you is Eunice?" One of the men asked while pointing between my cousin and I.
Without talking, I sit in the car. This is awkward. When I see him I'll tell him not to impose dinner on me
when he knows he'll be sending his driver to pick me up.
****
"You look sweet," he told with a lovely smile that I forgot I want to do nothing but slap him in the face for letting someone else pick me up.
"Thanks," I managed to say with a cold voice. He lifts his eye brows to show his confusion.
He tries to pull the chair for me to sit on.
But I stop him, "I'll do it myself. Thanks."
I have to stop hiding who I am. Seriously, I'm not used to people or men pulling chairs for me to sit on. Not that I'm a Tom boy...just a little. I will say I'm a lady Tom boy. Not so girly...
"Why did you send your driver instead?" I asked with a serious face.
"Because I was busy to pick you up. My brother and I had a lot to do in the office," he simply answered. With a tired nod he sits himself down.
"OK, so I'm here," I announced and with the way he is looking at me, I'm sure my sentence meant a different thing to him and I hope it did convey what I am feeling at the moment.
"What are you trying to tell me with these actions?" He looks straight into my eyes to intimidate me. Which I didn't even flinch a bit.
"That I'm not typically a Lady," OK, that came out wrong. And I almost want to smash my head on the table and then run out of here.
"If that is so, then I have not yet met a lady. I'm yet to meet one," his confession takes me by surprise.
What does that mean?
"Every girl behaves like this. So why are you saying that?" He sounded sure of his words.
Goodness this man is sexy!!! He doesn't stress himself to talk.
"So let's have dinner and put this bush attitude aside. Only show them when you are alone."
He said that with a cool and calm voice but it holds much meaning. He thinks my attitude is bush?
I eye him. He's such a...guess I'm not only the annoying one.
"This is a weekend fling. I don't care about your issues. That's your problem to deal with. But if you feel like you can't go on, we'll go our separate paths," he flatly offered and I begin to realize I was acting like we had been dating for many years ago.
Why is he going that far? I just wanted to tell him I'm not that kind of a lady he...whatever!!!
I sit quietly eating.
"I'm sorry if I was a little bit harsh. I don't mean to break...I want this too. Sorry if I upset you," he admitted.
"Don't worry. I guess I was a little shaken by you asking your driver to pick me up," I honestly confessed.
"Shaken? Why were you shaken?" He asked.
"I don't know. I just didn't feel right when I opened the door and didn't find you but someone else. It was like...I don't know, but I just didn't feel OK," I explained.
He shakes his head and admits, "I wouldn't be here if I didn't want this too. Trust me."
He gives me a tender smile. I smile back at him.

Just as we are about to leave. I get a text from my agent. He gave my number to my fiance. He will be
calling me tomorrow. Why? What happened? I'm surprised he'll be calling because I remember he told my agent he's busy to do those things. He just needs a wife...for a year.
I don't intend to divorce him...we will have to take it to court.
