THE ORPHAN

CHAPTER FOUR

"What does this woman thinks of herself?",Lilian said rudely. "So she thinks she can control us in here or what",Lilian said. "But that's not what it seems to be. I mean, she's just trying to help you out. She is trying to give us another life,a new life"Megan said to Lilian. "I'm your best friend and I shall tell you the good and bad about you", Megan said.

"Children, y'all should get down for breakfast". Mrs Katherine said loudly. (All the children assembled downstairs for breakfast at the dinning).

"So, who's going to pray for us now?"Mrs Katherine asked politely. "Our prince charming here is going to pray for us now", Nana cuts in smiling.

(All the children laughed apart from the rest). "wow,so a baby is going to pray for us !? How could someone even think of that? "Lilian interrupted rudely." Excuse me young lady,seems like you've forgotten your manners". Mrs Katherine said angrily. "Would you apologize right away or I need to show you how to!?" Mrs Katherine voiced out. "we've about twenty-seven children in this orphanage here,and none of them have ever looked me in the eyes and utter words at me. But,seems like you're the first person. This should be the last time you'll talk to me like this! Not even me. And I mean it". Mrs Katherine voiced out.

" Mrs Katherine, please calm down. You don't need to shout anymore. Let's just sit down and eat please " Nana pleaded. "Anthony, please the ground is all yours" Nana said. "In Jesus name(Amen). Father lord,we thank you for waking us healthy and alive today. We thank you for this food and grace, bless us as we're about to eat. In Jesus name we pray,Amen. (All the children were delightful with what they were eating. Pancakes and custard were served. Nana on the other hand was already feeding Elvis with milk).

"Mrs Katherine, I found a letter inside his cradle when I was dressing him". Nana said to Mrs Katherine. "That's shocking though,but finish eating then, we'll go through it" Mrs Katherine said.

(It's 10:30am ,all the children were done eating and arranging everything including their rooms).

"So Nana show me the letter you saw", Mrs Katherine said. "here it's", Nana replied. "But how did you see it?" Mrs Katherine asked. "It's when the cradle was completely empty, that's when I saw it hidden in it" Nana explained. "It could be a message for anyone that finds Elvis or something". Mrs Katherine said in thought. "That's true though Well, let's open it and read what it says", Nana said. "Wait, let's make sure no one is here,you know the walls have ears" Mrs Katherine said in a low tone.
