CHAPTER FIVE

"What does it say " Nana asked " This is unbelievable for real ". Mrs Katherine answered "what ? show me " , Nana said. " Take it and read , I can't just say this out right now to you Nana". Mrs Katherine said to her sadly ( Nana collected it and read what was written and got surprised ) . " Wow , Elvis was this how your life went with your parent ?" Nana asked rhetorically." Well let us just keep this between ourselves . We can't let anyone know about this Nana , okay?" Mrs Katherine said . " Now I see why his skin is different from ours " Nana said . " Hey ! Careful, the walls have ears . We have to be really careful with our tongues now" Mrs Katherine said . ( Just in,a red shiny Porsche drove in. A young man with an average height stepped out of the car).

"Hello!!! Who missed me!?" Charlton asked out loudly. (suddenly all the children ran to him with a hug outside the compound) "Charlton!" (All the children shouted out). "woah,seems like y'all missed me" Charlton said. "Charlton we thought you won't come back again anytime soon"Eben said. "well,I said let me surprise y'all" Charlton said. "Did I hear Charlton?"Mrs Katherine and Nana asked. (The both of them stood up and went outside to witness the celebration outside). "look who we have here" Nana said happily". Nana said. (Charlton hugged Nana). "Good morning Nana" Charlton greeted.

"Look at you!" Nana said. "oh now I see why they were shouting and showcasing their teeths" Mrs Katherine said from behind. "Good morning Mama" Charlton greeted. "you've grown tall now,and you've increased your weight" Mrs Katherine said. "Just five months that you left,you just increased your growth" Nana said in shock. "Who's with you in that car!?" Mrs Katherine asked. "Nobody mama, it's mine" Charlton answered. "Yours!?" Nana asked

"Well it's my car" Charlton said proudly. "How did it become yours?" Mrs Katherine asked curiously. "You went to school, isn't it?"Nana asked. "How did you get the money to buy this car!?" Mrs Katherine asked. "Well... I had savings" Charlton answered. "savings?" Mrs Katherine said "We weren't sending you a lot of money,so how did you get money to buy this car?" Nana asked. "Charlton,were you actually saving? Even if you were, it'll take you years to buy a car with it" Mrs Katherine said. "I also got a side job that pays me a lot of money,so I also save from there too"Charlton said. "What kind of job exactly!?" Nana asked. "It's an online job that pays dollars to ghostwriters anytime they write for a particular company. Also,their salaries depends on how lengthy your work is" Charlton said.

(Mrs Katherine wasn't still satisfied with what he said to her) "Are you sure about what you just said?" Nana asked. (Just then, Anthony,Eben and other children cuts in). "Charl! Charl,what did you bring for us" They asked. "Calm down,I brought few stuffs for y'all,hold on" He said. (Charlton opened the car and told the children to pack everything inside the car). "wow... Marshmallows!" Edwina shouted out.

"Charlton you brought all of these? And with your money?"Mrs Katherine asked. "Yes mama,I bought them with my money" Charlton answered. "seems like you're becoming a man of yourself Charlton" Nana said. "Let's go inside now" Mrs Katherine said. "How's your trip by the way!?" Nana asked. "Nana, it's superb. I even tried to skip..." Charlton pauses. "Skip what?" Mrs Katherine? "Nothing really, just wanted saying something and then accidentally said something different. So,Nana, let's go in, I'm getting hungry" Charlton said. "Let's go in so that you'll have your food" Nana said.

(The three of them sat down discussing while Charlton was eating).

"It's been years since I ate your delicious pancakes. I've been eating junks in school" Charlton said. "But you said you work,how and why will you eat junk food?" Nana asked surprisingly. "making money doesn't mean I eat delicious food everyday. Besides,I was on diet too" Charlton said. (Mrs Katherine and Nana laughed). "Diet!?" Mrs Katherine asked. "wait,you think I'm joking!?" Charlton asked. "Before you left,how many plates do you normally eat!?"Mrs Katherine asked. "That's before though" Charlton said. (suddenly, Charlton heard Elvis crying). "wait, who's crying!?" Charlton asked. "oh no..the prince charming is awake" Nana said. "prince charming!?" Charlton asked. "He's new here" Mrs Katherine said. "But how did he get to this place?" Charlton asked. "Well it all happened today" Mrs Katherine said. "Was it the police that bought him here?" Charlton asked. "No, it's God's plan that brought him here" Mrs Katherine said. "But hold on, why's he black!?" Charlton asked. "Well that's because he..."Nana pauses. (Mrs Katherine cleared her throat to notify Nana not to tell Charlton what they discussed earlier).
