Chapter 5 - Windows Won't Stop Me

Diane's Perspective I can't stop hearing her moan in my head. I press my foot on the gas and speed down the road. Driving my sweet black convertible has always been invigorating. The wind whips against my hair, but even the wind knows better than to make it blow into my face and block my view. Adrielle cackles beside me. Josh and she laugh at some sick joke, teasing others to get them to join in. Bottles clink. I can't deny the urge to slam on the brakes just to see the alcohol splash up onto their faces and ruin their proud smirks. I may enjoy the presence of my friends, but these newcomers Adrielle invited are just an opportunity for her to show off to them. The car speeds up slightly on command, earning surprised yelps that evolve into cheers from everyone else in the car. Sky's moan... I smile slightly to myself. "Tell us, Diane," Adrielle says, turning the spotlight onto me, "what happened when you chased the mouse into the bathroom?" "Wouldn't you like to know..." She grimaces. "Yes, I would actually. Do tell." I roll my eyes in response. "I just did my usual and we went about our own way." "You were in there for quite a while―" "Why were you paying attention so much?" I ask with a hiss. "Someone a little jealous?" My words have a bigger impact on Adrielle than I would have expected. She stutters and backs off, "What?! N-no, not at all. Just want to know all the details. I would have been down to go with you as support." "I appreciate the offer, Adrie, but I don't need support. I can handle things quite well on my own." "I know that, I just―" "Why are we still talking about this?" I shake my head dismissively. "I'm allowed to do things by myself." "I'm aware, but the group would like to know what happened and if you made Sky squirm." I chuckle darkly. Oh, I made her squirm alright. "She surprised me, I'll tell you that." "In what way?" "She's not who I thought she'd be..." my voice trails off, another smile reaching my lips as I recall feeling her beneath my fingers and hearing the intoxicating sounds she gave, "and honestly, I have a newfound appreciation for her." "WHAT?" Josh blurts out. Adrielle chokes on her drink for a solid five minutes as the newcomers are stuck in a mix of confusion, disappointment, and shock. When Adrielle is finally able to breathe again, she looks up at me, wiping spilled alcohol off of her chin with a mean frown on her face. "You're joking, right?" "No." I think Josh gasps behind me. "Are you f*****g serious?" Adrielle bites. "You seem surprised," I say dully. "That little stuck-up brat had something appealing about her?" "Is it so shocking?" "Yes," she spits without hesitation, "because before you dyed your hair and sat with her, you didn't think of her as anything but a chew toy to rough up every once and a while." "Do you honestly think I'd spend my time trying to involve myself in someone else's life if I didn't see something interesting in them?" I respond nonchalantly. Adrielle opens her mouth, hesitating and finally breaking her stare to gaze out the window. "Now listen up, no one is allowed to mess around with Sky unless I'm there," I order. "Got it?" "You like her?" The car goes silent. I tilt my head to see Adrielle was the one who muttered those haunting words. Do I? I contemplate it for a moment, rolling the idea around on my tongue before I speak. "Not sure, but either way, she's to be left alone. Understood?" They nod obediently. Adrielle just stares out at the open road without saying another word. ― ― ― ― ― I walk into the library, moving towards the computers so I can print out a twenty-two-page visual novel, which definitely does not have explicit images, and I for sure did not receive them from a totally illegitimate source that I didn't pay for and thus would make what I'm about to do be considered pirating because college is expensive enough on its own so I feel like really it should be the one paying for this print-out rather than me. I take a glance at one of the glass study room doors to see Sky inside all by herself. The sight of her causes me to suddenly forget all about the one-hundred-percent non-pornographic material I was going to print, and before I know what I'm doing, my hand is on the door handle and I'm opening it. She looks up from her computer. Her hazel eyes light up slightly upon seeing it's me, though Sky quickly tries to hide it behind a forced frown. She turns back to her computer as if going to resume her work, but she makes no move to continue. She simply sits there. Her brain must be frozen again. "If I'm intruding, I can go," I suggest. "No." The speed of her reply catches me off guard. She lets out a small sigh. "You're not intruding, I'm just... surprised." "Why is that?" "I thought we said we were going to pretend it didn't happen." "Does that mean I still can't come up to you?" "I thought either you'd ignore me or just continue pestering me with your gang." "My friends aren't going to be pestering you anymore, Sky, and for the record, you're much too pretty to ignore." Her cheeks blush, and in another brave attempt to hide it, she tries to change the subject. "W-what do you mean they aren't going to anymore?" "I told them not to." Her head whips around. "You told them―?!" "Relax," I purr. Sky loses her edge almost on command. "I didn't tell them about you and me, simply that you are to be left alone from now on." Silence hangs in the air for a moment as she considers my words. "I don't know what to say. Thank you?" "You're welcome," I hum with a pleasant smile. She turns to resume typing away at her computer. My eyes drift around the room, noting the one wall that is more like a giant window broadcasting to everyone walking by that Sky is here studying. It's a wonder she doesn't lose her focus with that giant distraction. I stand behind her, my arms on both sides of her chair as I lean down. "What are you working on?" "Psychology notes." "What are you learning about in psychology?" "What does it matter?" "I'm just curious, Sky." "You didn't come here because you were 'just curious', did you?" "No." "Then why are you here?" "Maybe I wanted to spend a little more time with you." "Psychology notes are pretty boring." "Why are you constantly doing them then?" "To pass my classes." "Do you do anything else other than homework and study?" "Not really." "Why not?" "Why would I?" "To have some source of fun in your life." "I'm content on my own, thanks." "Why don't you want to spend time with anyone?" "I don't need to." "No s**t, but there's got to be another reason―" "Why do you hang out with your group?" she cuts in. I sigh. "They make me laugh and add some enjoyment to the monotonous, exhausting, doomed thing we call life." Sky tries to come up with an insult but a childlike expression crosses her face as she fails to communicate her frustration besides using the simplest, five-year-old-like sentence that comes to mind: "They're mean." "Maybe. In reality, I think all of us are just bitter about everything. College is expensive as hell and possibly a giant scam, yet there is a stigma that if you don't graduate, you're below everyone else. The rich are just 1% of the world, but they are the ones that hold all the high cards while the rest of us are left with two spades and three clubs. It's almost impossible to get extremely wealthy even though your whole life everyone keeps saying 'you can do it if you work hard enough, which is a lie that continues to hurt not just us but especially those who can't afford housing, basic necessities, or even food. Politicians will do whatever they can to have money and power. No one gives a s**t about others' suffering as long as they can't see it ― and here we all are pretending like the world is fine when it's not and, technically, we're all privileged assholes for even getting to go to college in this economy. So yeah, we're mean. We're pissed at the world but we can't punch those that we are pissed at, so some of us take it out on those we see as snobby or below us. We're adding to the cycle of hatred probably, but the world might end in our lifetime and most of us wish the world would end tomorrow just so we wouldn't have to get up in the morning. Is it stupid and selfish? Yes, and I'm sorry, but that's how we operate, and unfortunately, I think my group's brains are too twisted and distorted for them to stop now." Sky looks at me with a perplexed expression. "What? I don't know if anything I said just made sense, but what?" "I'm just now realizing you do actually give a s**t about things you pretend not to care about." "Well duh, that's what I did with you." "What?" Her eyes widen. I bite my tongue. "It's just that I had an interest in you. You never talked to people despite being one of the hottest girls here, and you had a certain enigmatic air about you that made me curious." "Are you saying that all those harassments were just you flirting with me?" "No, no, not at all." I shake my head and chuckle. "Those I have no excuse for, but my suggestive comments weren't just to make you uncomfortable. Part of me may have been hoping for some sort of response back or some mutual feeling. However, your salty replies were always too good to resist, even for me, so it didn't really matter if you never reciprocated, you kept things interesting enough for me without any flirtations." "Who said it was never reciprocated?" Sky says casually. "...You never flirted back." "Maybe that's because a certain someone brought their rat pack along wherever they went and also stuck me in a situation where I was being bullied." I blink and turn away. "I apologize." "Good." I smirk at her bitterness. "Someone still hasn't learned their manners." "Make me." At her words, I turn my attention back to her. She gazes up at me from her seat, those shimmering brown eyes dusted with gold. I tsk, "And here I thought someone wanted it to just be a one-time fling." "It could be a two-time fling," she doesn't hesitate to suggest. "Or it could just not be a fling at all." "Someone's eager..." "Shut up," I snap lightheartedly. Sky laughs, a sound that could only come from an angel's own lips as it instantly lights up the room and makes my heart swell. "It's just... if you were okay with it, I wouldn't mind this not being a fling at all. If you still want it to be though, that works too." Her eyes darken as she contemplates it. "I'm not sure which I'd prefer," she admits quietly. "That's okay," I shrug. She gazes up at me. Her eyes trail along my arms before reaching my face as if soaking in the full sight of me for the first time like she had when I first dyed my hair. I smile at her, and Sky instantly returns it. "Would you like to go for round two?" she asks. "Here?" "Why not?" "I don't know, maybe because there's a giant-ass window that makes up one of the walls of this room." "So?" I almost choke on air. "Anyone could see us." "Really, complaints from you, Diane, queen of all things dirty?" Sky teases. I would bite back but my mind is still reeling over the fact that she's okay with this. "If it makes you feel any better, we can move one of the whiteboards to block part of the view and do it behind there." "You continue to surprise me, Sky." "As do you, not-as-kinky-as-I-thought Diane." "Shut up and get your ass against the wall." Her face flushes. She swallows, standing and moving to press her back against the wall. I run my hand through her air, grabbing it in a fist, and I firmly keep her head pinned to the wall. With my other hand, I move a whiteboard to shield us―partially―from the outside view. She looks me over slowly, hungrily, biting on her lower lip as she waits for my next move. I kiss her, and she kisses me back with fire beyond that of last time. She slowly sinks under my touch as I drag my other hand down her chest. I drift down with her until we find ourselves on the floor. I lay her down so I'm over her. I straddle her pelvis and slip my hand under her shirt so I can feel all of her as I pepper her neck with kisses, sucking at her skin. I bite down slightly and she lets out a moan. I shut my eyes to repress myself from releasing one just in response to hers. I feel her breasts, digging my nails into sensitive flesh as she lets out another delightful sound that is more like a whimper. She squirms under my touch as I bite, claw, and suck, utterly intoxicated by her in every way possible and unable to stop as she keeps making these heavenly sounds that I didn't realize I missed until now. On the floor, I admit, the whiteboard doesn't cover up much from the outside view. However, if someone were to walk by and look down to see me making Sky writhe like she is, I wouldn't give a s**t. In fact, the thought turns me on more. I keep her head pinned to the floor, pulling on her hair as I undo the buttons on her shirt and sink my teeth into her breast. Her moan is the only memory passing through my brain right now, and when she releases another one, I cave in and let out a breathy moan in response. I trail my fingers down to her pants. I wait a moment for her to possibly signal to stop, but she doesn't. I slip my hand under her pants and feel around until I feel that familiar knob. She lets out a surprised, euphoric sound, and her whole body trembles at my touch. I smirk and continue my stream of kisses. I press down rhythmically, enjoying the sound of her breath against my ear as I cover her neck in blood-red lipstick and the way her body seizes up momentarily as she copes with the waves of pleasure I inflict on her. When she whines―god that desperate, weak sound―I increase my rhythm. She moans in response. "Good girl," I whisper. Her breathing picks up, more quick, euphoric, helpless noises leaving her lips as her body shakes with the building of pleasure. I keep going, faster and harder, until she finally stops breathing. Her body fully tenses beneath me. The feeling of her breaking beneath me, her body out of control and mind unable to process anything but the intense feeling that I know all to well, is almost enough to distract me from continuing to finger her, but I keep up the pace until she lets out a strong breath and collapses on the floor. I pull my hand out and caress her gently. She is still for a moment before she weakly holds onto me too, her eyes dancing with stars as she recovers from climaxing. I gently kiss her lips. "You're unbelievably amazing, Sky," I say softly to her. She lets out a breath and smiles. "You're the one putting in all the work. You should really feel what you do." "Maybe you can show me next time." She chuckles. After a moment, I help stand and clean up her appearance by buttoning up her shirt again and cleaning off a few lipstick marks so it doesn't look like she just f****d in a study room. I ghost my thumb across her cheek. She looks into my eyes deeply, adoringly. I smile. "How about I give you my number?" I suggest. "That way you can reach out to me anytime." She nods eagerly. Sky offers me her phone and I type it in for her. "Do you still have more studying to do or...?" "I think I'm done for the day," she says with a laugh. "What do you mean?" I say, pretending to be appalled. "I thought you studied all day every day?" "That's what I usually do. However, for some reason, someone decided to distract me to the point that I don't think I could go back to making notes." "What a shame... Guess you'll just have to be social now," I shrug. "f**k you," she bites, no longer done in a mean way but now in a joking manner. I beam at her. She packs her backpack and we walk out of the study room. I glance over at her, unable to keep my affection towards her from showing, as she looks happier than I've ever seen her. I can't deny feeling the same way. I catch a lipstick mark still showing on her neck. I stop her for a moment, to which she looks at me in question. Licking my thumb, I gently try to wipe it away. Sky laughs slightly, her eyes shining, overflowing with the same emotion coursing through my veins. I grin. "Diane?" a familiar voice calls. I turn away from Sky to see Adrielle standing just a little ways away. She watches the two of us, her face twisting from horror to disgust (or maybe it's the other way around?). "s**t," I mumble to myself mostly. Sky looks at us hesitantly. I take a step forward and Adrielle bolts. My face falls. I gaze back at Sky shakily, who gives a weak smile and disappointingly lowers her head. She starts skulking off in the opposite direction. I stand frozen there for a moment, not knowing who to chase after. Sky will be alright. I can text her later. I race off after Adrielle.
