After a brief pause, Dr. Alana reentered the room, her lips curving into a small, almost imperceptible smile. A clipboard was held firmly in her hands, the paper rustling slightly as she set it down on the counter. “Good news. We were able to retrieve four viable eggs, and they’re being fertilized as we speak.” Bella’s heart soared at the confirmation.
