Alex POV
I woke up feeling warm under the blankets. I caress the pillow of a chest I'm leaning in too. Lightly tilted my head to see, my Mate. My Canis Lupus. My Jared, he is so adorable. Arms was tangle around my waist. Goddess his loud snoring that can wake up a village, but makes me sleep like a baby. His little murmuring underneath his breath. Not to mention the hot, steaming, passionate love making that took me to cloud night. It was draining but stimulating night. I figured he would need a good rest for the trip. I gave him a 10 second healing. I quietly tossed out of the bed careful not to wake him up. Sneak to the bathroom to freshen up and head downstairs. I figured the boys wont have snacks for the trip. There is no restaurants to stop by at the drive going to the council. It will be an eight hours drive. So I know for sure they'll be hungry. I went to the kitchen. The castle is quiet, figured it's only 2am. I turn on the dim light at the kitchen counter. I pack some sandwiches and vegetable sticks to munch on. Some beverages and put it in a cooler. I started on making some breakfast. I don't want to wait for omegas to do this when I can do it myself. I went to the fridge to grab the eggs and bacon when I suddenly felt a presence coming from the corner. It smells like Tony but different, confused of what danger this person might be. I pushed my back to the wall and waited for who's coming. When I saw a shadow, I grab the wrist, pulled myself up from his knees, cradle his shoulder and leaned forward.

Right when we hit the floor, I tighten my grip in his wrist and pulled it above the head. I have the head lock between my thighs total submission. I thought...then the intruder did.
tap...tap...tap...tap...
Then I heard a familiar voice laughing. It's like watching MMA baby his tapping let him go. Jared said laughing hysterically. Then I loosen the grip and I just realize it was Tony. I jump up right away and knelt beside him. OMG Tony I'm so sorry. I didn't recognize the scent. I thought you are an attacker, I'm really sorry. I said looking at him still trying to catch his breath from the attack grabbing and rubbing his neck.
That is so funny a beta got his ass whoop! Jared teasingly said.
You're a d**k man, you just watch her do that. Tony said smirking.
I want to see her in action, I've heard some stories from Daniel. So I figured use the opportunity to watch. Jared said still laughing.

Well first, I saw you leaning by the wall. I got curious on what you were doing. Then I saw Tony from the corner and I thought it would be funny to watch. It's like watching a hunter waiting for the prey. Jared said obviously amuse.
I'm really sorry Tony. By the way why do you smell different? I ask then I saw Jared smirking and I look back at Tony.
OMG!! You did not, did you??? I ask in shock. looking at Tony fascinated.
Yes we did. I wont tell details but yes Maybelle accept me as I accept her. So yah we are a couple now. I guess. Tony stated shyly.
WE DON'T NEED DETAILS!! Me and Jared said in unison then laughter broke between the three of us.
Anyway baby why are you up so early? Jared ask. I know too early attacking people! Tony smirking.
Well if you have not smelled differently I would have not attack you and I was up early cause I figured you boys need some food on the road. There is not place to stop by on the way to the council I figure you guys will be hungry. So I prepare some snacks. I said smiling while finishing the sandwiches.
Ohhh baby, I haven't seen Henry since I got home from the hospital. I added. Curious where my bestie is.
He is getting the car ready, his been doing an assignment but he is here now and will go with us. Jared stated looking at Tony.
Anything I need to know about this assignment? I ask looking at Tony then Jared.

None of us. Since I took the Alpha position, Council have never called for a meeting since. They just call or send a message when they need anything. The last meeting that they did was when you know... Jared said. Ahhh I see obviously I've been there but it's been long already but one thing I remember what mom told me, the dark forest is not a place to be stuck in too. Mom said even witches dreaded that place. I know I sounded so sinister when I said that, no pun intended. I said looking at the boys. Anyways why don't you guys get ready and I'll have breakfast ready by the time you guys are back. I said smiling trying to shoo them away.
Baby can you get someone else to cook the breakfast, I need help showering. Jared winking. Ahhh this horny wolf I thought.
Jared POV
It's a bit chilly out today since it's only 4am the fog covers the forest grounds. After getting ready we had breakfast and thank goddess for Alex we have food for the road. After loading everything in the car.
We said our goodbyes. Tony with Maybelle which they look so in love. Who figured I would see my bestfriend being love struck again. Then Henry high five Alex. -What is that for? I thought and growled in the sight of it. Alex then walked up to me grab my wrist and put a bracelet on me. It's the rare tungsten royal bangle. It has a wolf head emblem engrave with amethyst stone for the eyes.
Baby this is so pretty. But what is this for? This is a royal property I can't have this? I said while admiring the rare jewelry I have in my wrist.
I'm giving it to you because I love you and yes you can have it because I said so.!! She said with confidence then grab me down by the shoulder to level her and put her forehead against mine. Then we kissed, she close her eyes and I kiss her softly on the lips and she kissed me back. The kiss was soft and gentle. I feet the love and it's melting my heart. After a passionate kiss it came to an end.
I'll see you in two days, text me anything and call me anytime. I said and then I kiss her forehead before getting in the car.
Alex POV
I wave goodbye to Jared. I do not want to let go of his lips when we kissed. I feel like I long for him even if it's just a short of a time. After us fully mated everything got amplified. My smell is not as good as a wolf, but now I can smell like a wolf, I got to link him now. I can feel his emotion as he is to mine. We are one now and it feels amazing. It's time for me to go as well. I have a Black Kevlar leggings and Black Kevlar jacket with hood. It's a bit chilly outside and since I wont have a place to stay in this mission, I have to be equip right and of course my favorite Red bottom Knee high stiletto boots. Trust me it's a weapon. I grab my sling backpack, I had some water and beef jerky for ration. I don't need much, I lasted longer with out food.
I put in my bracelet. It's the same as what I gave Jared. The King and Queen, my grandparents gave it to me. It's a rare antique Royal jewelry, that has a tracking mechanism. The gem glows when your mate is near you. I gave Jared the amethyst one so he can see my eyes through it and I have the blue sapphire to match his. I started running towards the forest, and immediately jump the trees. It's been a while since I did surveillance like this but this is different as easy as it looks compare to the ones I did with the Royal Guard. I feel like this is harder because I'm not trying to watch or guard just anybody. I'm trying to keep my Mate safe and I know he wouldn't agree with this. I'll just have to make him understand and accept me for it. But right now, I got to be in stealth mode.
I can see them now. Just about to cross the North border and now the adventure begins. Whoever is driving needs to be careful the roads to the mountain is full of narrow loops. Let me text him Jared right now.

Ahhh that's annoying his like my mother sometimes. He may not say that I'm weak but that's how he makes me feel sometimes. I really have to talk to him when we get back. I thought annoyingly.
After five hours of driving they stop at a good resting area. At least rest up before we enter the Dark Forest. Ugh I don't like the aura this forest if giving me. Good thing I'm close enough to hear them. I can eaves drop. I thought giggling.
You should stop treating Alex like she's a fragile child. Tony said.
I'm not trying too. I just don't want her to get hurt. I don't think she is weak it's obvious she is not. But she is still a princess, My Princess, My Mate. Jared stated.
She will be okay. Just loosen up a little I know you're worried but stop being to much paranoid!! Tony smirking.
And you should stop smoking so we can go!! Jared sternly mumble sounding a bit irritated.
Honestly I do not know what to say. I don't like proving myself to anyone. But it seems like I have to prove myself to Jared. I understand that he worries about me and scared that something is going to happen but I can do this and he needs to see that. I think they're ready to go. Okay I have to jump in the jeep once they get in the car. I'll stay on the top. Me jumping in the trees at the dark forest is not ideal, got to find a different way. This bitches better drive straight and no stopping.
