A week had passed since Alphonce’s drunken confession in my room, and his presence had been marked by an eerie absence.
Each time I called him, he would just tell me that he was busy and that he would call when he was less busy leaving me feeling more unsettled with each passing day.
Something just told me that he was avoiding me.
But the question that was disturbing me was why was he avoiding me?
I needed to know what had made him drink like that but he never called again after that.
And again, I still needed to know who he was talking about. But still, there was no Alphonce.
I tried to reach out to him through his bodyguards but I also couldn't reach them.
