Damn it!! I've only been Alpha of this pack for a couple of weeks and I already have deserters who could and probably will be trouble for me. The worst part of it all, it was someone we completely trusted, Viktor Manning. After reading his letter, it felt as if he had used us to get rid of Luca so that he could take his place. I was hoping I was wrong, but talking about 'finishing what Luca started' and going on to degrade the girls and our kids left me feeling like I wasn't wrong at all. I picked up my phone and called Mason. It rang twice and went to voicemail, which told me he refused my call. I then tried to call Jasper, and got the same result.
