“Boss!” one of the others called out; and suddenly, it felt like someone had let go of the pause button in that scene. Dustin was let go and thrown to the side, the man groaned as he curled up into a ball on the ground, and his men rushed to his aid. While all of that was happening, Wells calmly strode past Dustin and the hurdled group, right as a car pulled up in the driveway. A middle-aged man in a plain black suit got out of the driver’s seat, and rushed to meet Wells halfway. “Mr. Welton, is everything alright?” he had asked in a lowered voice, almost like a whisper.
