Wells knew how he might have seemed in front of Josh and Daniel when he grabbed that letter, but he really didn’t care. For more than a month, he had successfully managed to live a “quiet” life—not literally, of course, since the Reynolds House loved to bicker and hold parties to celebrate useless milestones—but he had only been able to do so due to their lack of knowledge of who he was. Wells had already stupidly endangered his anonymity by helping out that curious college kid. Stan didn’t help either, what with his continuous insistence to carry around a firearm, and fetch and drop Wells off near the house every night. It was an unbelievable miracle that none of the people under that roof had figured him out yet. But then, maybe they just weren’t the smartest bunch. Whichever it was,
