CHAPTER FOURTEEN The minutes ticked by agonizingly slowly as Sadie kept her eyes on the window of the shack where DaCosta had been shooting from. Since the back-up had arrived – the coastguards and a few deputized townspeople – DaCosta had gone quiet. With the back-up crew forming a ring around the perimeter of the shack, there was no way that DaCosta could escape, and Sadie wondered just how long he could realistically keep this up for.
