CHAPTER SIXTEEN
As Sadie watched Deputy Jane Cooper’s fingers whizz across the keyboard of the au pair’s laptop, she couldn’t help thinking how weary the Deputy looked. The other woman had spent all day, apart from the dramatic interlude with DaCosta, liaising with Social Services and questioning the four local children that had been photographed n***d, in poses that no child should even be aware of. The strain showed in her face, and Sadie didn’t envy her; personally, she was more comfortable with half-eaten bodies.
“I think I can find the location that these messages were sent from,” Jane murmured, her eyes fixed on the screen. “Just give me a few more minutes.”
