The scent of blood hung thickly in the air as we rushed the human girl to the hospital. The doctor led the way, his eyes focused on her, while Kaden and Kaycee walked by the stretcher’s side that was carrying her fragile body. I followed closely behind, along with Darius with a pounding heart.
