“What do you mean?” the rogue hissed. “I will expose you if you don’t give me my money!”
There was a tense silence between them. I wanted to take out my phone and record it, but if I did that, I was sure the wolves would catch the sound. So gnashing my teeth hard, I stayed in my place.
“Come out with me,” the other person said.
This was my chance. I got up to pounce on them but was disappointed when they both exited the inn from the rear side.
“f**k!” I rushed after them but was frustrated when the two just disappeared in the thick foliage of the forest behind the inn. “Damn it!” I jumped the stairs and rushed, smelling the air.
