I lift Cloette. Before I could move a foot forward, Stephen’s mouth throws an irritating question at me. “She didn’t shift into her wolf form. May I know why?” I shoot a harsh glare at him and respond, “It’s none of your business, that’s why.” He shrugs while smirking cockily. If Cloette doesn’t need to be taken out of here, I would’ve challenged this guy into a brawl like we used to do when we’re toddlers.
