Alessia POV
I woke up to a stinging pain on my shoulder, my head was banging relentlessly.
supposed to be dead” I muttered, to no one in particular.
“God damn! I'm I looked around. I was back in a dinghy cold cell.
“s**t! I need to get out here, and fast.”
Standing up, I felt dizzy. Staggering to the door, I pulled it. landed with a thud on the floor.
“What was I thinking?” My butt
“I've been locked in. Looks like the windows will serve.”
“yeah I can jump that.” Looking around, I found nothing I could
I crawled over to the window, use to pull up the seal.
“f*****g Lorenzo! f**k this place” I yelled, frustrated.
Just as I was about to use my elbow to break the window, my door handle rattled, pulling open getting my attention.
“Ah Ah Ah! I wouldn't try that if I were you.” Lorenzo said. His jaws square, his face blank. I couldn't even tell what the bastard was thinking.
“you both had some forbidden kinky fuckery going on. What changed?” he asked, shutting the door behind him.
“What! Jealous?”
“Pfft, I can't be. I get whatever I want whenever I want it.”
Looking back to the window, I needed to leave this place. I wouldn't be able to fight him.
He smirked mischievously,
“told you not to think about that.”
“Escaping isn't going to be possible.”
At this point I was livid, deserved to die. My only regret is, I didn't make it slow and painful.”
“Piss off Lorenzo! Your dear father
He scoffed, anger.
“He isn't dead. He is in the hospital.” I clenched my jaw. I clenched my teeth in
“You only succeeded in putting him in a critical condition.” He snickered, mocking me.
“He..he killed my parents, my father was his brother. He took my sister. I need to find her.” I said, sighing in defeat. But it came out more like a plea.
“Hmmmmph” he made a thinking face. For a moment I thought he considered what I had told him. Then he grinned. The bastard grinned.
“Not my problem,I don't care.”
My hatred towards him doubled. I let the anger I felt cloud my judgement, then I lunged at him.
My fist flying in an attempt to hit him. He didn't flinch, his eyes gleaming in pure amusement as he dodged my punch.
“You're so damn predictable, Alessia” he sneered in a condescending voice.
I turned, my body shaking in anger and disgust. I lunged at him again, but he caught my wrists in a vice grip. I tried to wriggle out.
“Struggling, my dear dear kitten will only make it worse.” he warned, his hot breath fanning against my ear.
When did I ever listen? I kept struggling anyway. I successfully kicked him out, but he was too strong. I think I was still hazy from my unconscious state.
He pinned me to the wall, his body pressed against mine, holding me in place. He brought out the cuffs I hadn't seen, dragging me to the bed, he cuffed me to it.
“You're not going anywhere, Alessia. You're going to stay right here till I'm done with you.” he said, his eyes glinting.
I spat on his face, but he just chuckled.
“You're strong and feisty, I'll give you that.” He said, wiping the spit off his face.
“But that won't help you. Not with me, maybe it worked with my father.” He paused for a while, scanning my face.
“You're my prisoner now,” he said, cheerfully, leaving the cell.
***********
“She tried to kill the Don. If capo hadn't been there in time, she would have really killed him.”
I woke up to the voices muttering outside the cell.
That's when it clicked, a brilliant idea.
“Hello, who is there?”
“Shhh” I heard. Then I hollered again.
“ Hello, if you can hear me, I need your help.”
Once door opened, i saw the two maids. I didn't know their names but I knew their faces. One carried a tray of food.
I smirked inwardly.
“Easy” I thought, biting my lips, looking at both of them in the eye.
“uhmm, I think my period just came.” I said
They both stared back at me, awkwardly.
“ I know, I know but I need to get off my clothes, get a tampon. I can't be leaking down there and be locked up.” I said, making a pitiful face.
“Signore Lorenzo will have our heads if we help you.”
“I know…I know! I promise I'll be fast.” I said, stomping my feet. It's embarrassing to have Lorenzo see me like this.” I reasoned with them.
Reluctantly, the one without food said,
“I'll help, but you have to be fast.
she said, sounding unsure. I read her name tag and said, “Grazie Mariana.”
She left and came back with the keys to the cuffs. As she unlocked it she said,
have to be quick. She brought out a towel and a tampon and handed them over to me.
“signorina, you, get decent and come out”, she said pointing at the small door in the cell. I nodded, showing her
grateful smile.
“Thank you, I'll be fast.”
The other mad who carried my food looked at me suspiciously.
“I don't trust you, but I'll help.”
I went into the bathroom. It was stinky but that wasn't my problem. I looked around, thinking ofmy next move, while pretending I was cleaning up.
“I need a weapon” I mutter to myself. Just then, I spotted a paperclip. It was nothing but it could help. I hid it in between my fingers.
I walked out the bathroom, looking genuinely satisfied.
“You guys are lifesavers.”
Mariana smiled,
“prego, signorina.Good luck”
Walking back, I sat and let them cuff me, just the way Lorenzo had.
As they were leaving, the other maid said,
“eat your food. You'll need the energy”
She didn't lie. I hadn't eaten for the past two days. I nodded gratefully.
As soon as they walked out the door and locked it, I used the paper clip to pick the lock of the handcuff. I heard that ‘click’ and I grinned excitedly.
“I was free”
Though not entirely, but, I was a step closer.
I looked around the cell, trying to come up with a plan. I really had to get out here, and fast.
Then I spotted it. A small ventilation shaft on the wall. It was my only hope.
Taking a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves.
“This wouldn't be easy,” I hissed. But I was determined to escape.
“Uncle Marco has to die.” The thought of him being alive didn't sit well
with me. I climbed on top of the bed, trying to reach the ventilation shaft. My heartbeat accelerated, my palms sweating, my body shivering from the unknown.
But I didn't let that deter me. I kept moving forward, my eyes solely on the shaft.
I squeezed myself in through the narrow opening, trying to catch my breath.
“I was in.”
Now, I need to find my way around the ventilation system and find a way out.
